mr. trump's announcement. his statement reads in part, "president trump's retreat on the right to life is a slap in the face to the millions of pro-life americans who voted for him in 2016 and 2020. by nominating and standing by the confirmation of conservative justices, the trump-pence administration help send roe v. wade to the ash heap of history where it belongs."former president trump's announcement comes after his campaign floated the idea of a 15 week abortion ban earlier this year. >> vice president kamala harris spoke to reporters in response to former president donald trump's remarks on abortion policy. she reiterated the administration's stance on restoring abortion protections and said the president would sign protections in to law if congress passed such legislation.

overturning roe v. wade. he yet again said he was probably responsible for overturning roe v. wade. and probably responsible that one in three women of reproductive age now live in a state with an abortion ban and probably responsible that doctors and nurses can now be jailed in some states for life for providing care. probably responsible that states have passed bans with no exception for rape or incest. let's be very clear, if he were to be put back into a position where he could sign off on a law, he would sign off on a national abortion ban. let's be very clear about that. that obviously makes the contrast between joe biden and donald trump quite clear. we are very clear and joe biden has been clear. if congress passes a law reinstating the protections of roe v. wade, joe biden will sign that into law. we protect and we believe in a
