A study on the biodiversity zoogeography and taxonomy of the Section Agrodiaetus Hbn. in the genus Polyommatus Latr. (Lycaenidae, Lepidoptera). Cent. ent. Stud., Misc. Pap. 78 / 79: 1-11, 4 Tab. (in Turkish with English abstract and Uighurian summary). In this paper, 104 species of the section Agrodiaetus Hbn are evaluated. Zoogeographically, these species are the elements of 16 faunal regions (sensu Kostrowicki). Among them, two faunal regions, "Armeno-Caucasian" and "Iranian" represent nearly 50 percent of the whole Agrodiaetus fauna. Geographically these two faunal regions occupy East Anatolian, Caucasian and Iranian territories. Taxonomically, two new species, Polyommatus igisizilim n. sp., Polyommatus hyrsyz n.sp., one new subspecies, Polyommatus baytopi ssp. ilkkursun n.ssp. and one replacement names, Polyommatus ripartii ssp. ramonagenjo nom. nov. are proposed. Section Agrodiaetus Hbn. is divided into 13 subsections in the following way: Actisia n., Admetusia Kocak & Seven,1998, Antidolus n., Dagmara n., Damaia n., Juldus n., Musa n., Paragrodiaetus Rose & Schurian,1978, Peileia n., Phyllisia n., Transcaspius n., Xerxesia n., Agrodiaetus s.str. History of the faunal studies in Turkey and adjacent countries is also discussed. Proposal of a new replacement name in the family Noctuidae (Lepidoptera) (in Turkish)
