the president, you don't know why he would go back to delaware. he should have gone on the road and promoted it. i think that is what they should have done. i think it would have allowed for a different kind of entry into the political season. we are two months away. i think president biden is on the receiving end of act the last few months and pretty interesting verbal attacks and characterizations of his presidency. he's going to give a little bit back and we shouldn't be surprised by that. i think you think about presidents in the past, president obama was called a socialist, a terrorist, someone not born in the united states and end up serving four years of an eight-year presidency. this is politics. this does go against the brain because president biden is running and i thought he gave one of the great speeches when his inaugural address accentuated and amplified these points. here we are in a new season and it will get messier. we have had republicans say things about president trump.

concerned about this. the instinct, the president's instinct to do something for the middle-class family is a good one. however, paul said very well, we sit around this table, dana, and the judge, last week the rising cost of college. why don't we pay with that to ensure inflation, the tuition prices are really sustainable with inflation? it would be different if the kids coming out of school and we didn't have a dearth of teachers and a dearth of engineers and a dearth of family doctors and nurses. we were filling all of the slots, it would be one thing, which is one reason we agree around the table a few days ago if we do this we should condition. we can think of a lot of things and paul is right a number of things we could have done. we could have spent $200 to $400 billion to middle-class families but this one doesn't quite do the job. i hope they follow back up with something very serious about something we all can agree on. the runway cost of college tuition in this country needs to be addressed because we should

no, no, no, it was a part of my compensation package and duties include taking the risk of getting myself blown up here this is not a compensation package that people mutually agreed to. what bothers me so much about this is not that people are getting a $10,000 handout. i don't mind americans getting help in something. it is the fact how it is being done. how they are spinning in our face and telling us it is raining. $700 billion deficit reduction that they saved from the ira is going to be deleted by this, which means as to the deficit. how stupid do they think we are? we sell this bill last week saying we will have $700 billion deficit reduction, but now we will add $700 billion to it with this program and that means it didn't have deficit. 100% of these haven't been paid. but since we are only going to ask have to pay it back in december, that offsets the half we will not ask. it doesn't make sense.

[laughter] mind trick you just bold. >> i want to dp to come with me. >> dana: one of the things that is clear, facebook and twitter, there are new social media companies popping up in other ways in order to get information. tiktok is one of them. what is tick-tock saying? they will help us out. they will help us figure out what we should know before the election. and all the young people, that is where they are doing. and some of the young people in congress and not just those particular companies. if congress is going to do anything i don't know how they do it but a broader more encompassing peace. now, i do think one of the things happening on both entities list talk about meta, facebook, fbi, is the remedy for both is more transparency. more transparency in the algorithm and who the third party is and how that is working at facebook. who comes to talk to you and how do you make those decisions?
