away with everything. >> joey: the bidens may get away with it, i don't know if politically he will get away with it. he may end up with a challenger like gavin newsom. president trump is the president we most recently had that is front-runner and ron desantis and others will address iowa republicans at their lincoln day dinner. first time trump will take the stage with these opponents and looking like tim scott will be a big one. >> lawrence: this is the latest polling right here at 46%, ron desantis 16% and tim scott 11% and vivek ramaswamy 6%, nikki haley 5% and mike pence 4%.

>> lawrence: ainsley what is the polling going to be after the new charges? what we've seen and pundits have said, these charges will hit him that hasn't been reflected in the polling, every time there is new charge, he surges in the polls. it is going to be interesting to see how this plays out. new headline in the hill talked about tim scott and we know tim scott's campaign is about unity of america and they are saying this, how mr. nice guy tim scott can slay trump and win the nomination. if you talk to tim scott, his campaign strategy is that he's running against himself essentially, not concerned about other people in this race, he wants to talk about greatness of america, inspiration of america, his family's story and get elected based on that premise,

ainsley. tim scott was appoint by nikki haley and when jim demint stepped down, nikki haley put him in, he is running against haley. tim scott, who can't get along with him. everything, before he speaks, he thinks, how would god want me to respond. he breathes and sleeps the scripture and knows the bible like the back of his hand. he bought his mom a house and car. his phrase is from cotton to congress, he is great grandson of slaves, mom is a single mom, his story is incredible. will he be the nominee? i don't think so, he is not polling as high as donald trump or desantis. will he be vice president? will he be president one day? >> joey: right now seems like the gloves are on for everyone,

election, as well, interesting reporting of the candidates, the one that joe biden is most fearful of is donald trump and that was not necessarily the case months ago. what we've seen is this strengthens donald trump's political position and because the american people are tired of weaponized federal agencies and if your last name is biden you live by different set of rules, versus if your name is trump you get targeted by the agencies. >> ainsley: if you talk to republicans that were not going to vote for trump, or thought they should have a different candidate, we feel sorry because of all of this and see what is happening. republicans are treated differently. if you have an r by your name, they keep fighting for this country. everything is against them. if they are prominent, they are in trouble it seems like. courtroom calendar, this is what it will look like this fall and

all next year. >> you have the first gop debate in august before school starts or when football gets going and this ramps up. you have the trump organization civil suit and in january iowa caucus and you have the e. jean carol class action suit and in march, super tuesday and mixed with that, the hush money suit and classified document trial and july republican national convention and november election day and i'm sure a lot more in between that we don't know about because there is georgia and january 6. what is your reaction? >> look at all this they are throwing at president trump, trying to use the calendar against him. this will strengthen president's trump position in the primary and general election. it epitomizes federal agencies and department of justice against president trump.

they are reaching here to charge this other person with conspiracy to bring thaem in to some obstruction count. i think ultimately, they have a problem with the search warrant here and i wonder if adding the charges is strategy to defeat any problem with the search warrant. if the search warrant falls, all the charges fall and all doj would be left with are obstruction counts. make sure they have some charge that doesn't rely on the evidence recovered by the search warrant, which i think was overbroad. >> ainsley: the guys worked for them, you feel sorry for them. one started as valet and running the property 20 years laters, probably providing for his family and trying to charge the guys to flip on donald trump. you have president biden on the other side caught with the same
