welcome to hour three of "fox and friends." you see president biden yesterday m milwaukee touting the inflation reduction act, one year after signing it, but stayed silent on his son's legal problems, which are vast. >> ainsley: they are, hunter biden losing one of his lawyers after claiming the department backed out of a plea deal. >> brian: down the road in the d.c. bureau, we're covering all of washington, even sand lot sporting events. peter, take it away. >> peter: interesting to see the ap headline. yes, inflation is down. no issue the inflation reduction act doesn't deserve the credit and president biden may be aware that is the case.
5:02 am
the bill is about climate spending, triple what the president told us it would cost climate wise. today it is all on bidenomics. hunter biden is retooling his legal team. lawyer behind the doomed plea deal is out because he, chris clark, may become a witness in this case under the witness rule, inadvisable for mr. clark to stay on this case. withdrawal will not cause a hardship to mr. biden. unable to prove biden benefited from hunter financially trying to prove biden benefited indirectly. here is a text from hunter biden about paying past due bills and hunter writes, my dad has been
5:03 am
using most line on this account, which i have paid for the past 11 years. president biden released his tax return and nothing unusual there so republicans are trying to connect president biden to overseas payment through indirect means, no direct evidence of anything like that yet. >> steve: peter, regarding inflation reduction act, which should be called the joe biden get re-elected acts, the white house feels economic numbers are on joe biden's side, right? >> peter: yeah, they saw headlines talking about economic trends generally describing them as bidenomics as a bad thing. the biden white house people said, we're going to embrace this, this is what is happening, put the bidenomics sticker on everything we do here. yes, they do think it helps
5:04 am
them. >> ainsley: thank you issue peter. if you go on kevin mccarthy website, he's talking the president was in milwaukee yesterday touting how wonderful this is for the economy and said gas prices have gone up 40 cents in one month in milwaukee. they are $3.74 yesterday. gone up 30 cents nationwide, average monthly mortgage payment is higher than a year ago and bidenomics is costing the american family extra $709 compared to two years ago, he calls it a total failure, brian. >> brian: right. the president talks about e employment rate. the other big story, we don't have enough workers to fill jobs that are open, which you might think immigration is the sweet spot if he were able to do that in holistic day.
5:05 am
grow at 1%. debt is quadrupling, if you add in the infrastructure bill, revenue is not there. if you have those two things happening and inflation only growing at 3% les than 8 or 9%, but still growing and add that on top of where we are, people don't walk around and say, good news, unemployment rate is 1.6%. but on credit card interest rates are going up because they are trying to drill down on inflation, mislabeled reduction act. to peter's point about hunter biden losing his attorney and hunter biden legal team saying that david weiss backed out of a plea deal thchl is first time we've seen david weiss push back and say absolutely wrong. you should look in the mirror,
5:06 am
it is solely on you that deal fell,a part. it is first time i've seen him say something adversaryial against the hunter biden team. >> steve: the process has been hidden from public. now talking about gun charge, diversion charge, hunter biden people said, we had a deal and government is going, we did not. back to bidenomics. it will be interesting to see what happens going forward once the republican nominee is chosen on the republican side. they are running ads, america, are you better off today than four years ago? and you feel and we were talking about how at this point in time, according to an analytic company, average american is spending $700 more per month under joe biden than before. as peter pointed out, they are

5:08 am
didn't. >> brian: he said he mised -- sold us something that was wrong and a year later he said, i knew it shouldn't be named that. he has no problem lying to our face again. >> steve: thanks to joe manchin, it passed, had he stuck with his guns, joe biden would not be talking about the inflation reduction acts, it would not have passed. >> ainsley: talk about crime, that is an issue when we go to the polls to vote. remember nancy pelosi's husband was attacked with a hammer, happened also in connecticut. this police officer got a call, showed up, people said there was banging glass breaking. a female officer is attacked by a man with a hammer saturday night 6:33 p.m. the suspect is 52-year-old man, winston tate.
5:09 am
she said, you can hear on the body camera, she said, please put down the hammer and he said no. watch this, it graphic, we are warning you. >> stop, stop. stop. [screaming] >> steve: mmm. >> brian: that is part of the reason, the danger, the attitude people have toward cops. people are afraid of giving attitude, now people are not giving respect and it started a few years ago. george floyd riots, no one defending the action of the police officer, but beginning in ferg usson and culminating in george floyd given the thought cops are bad, more people running on anti-cop platform and
