3:01 am
we begin with a fox news alert. iran launching its first ever direct attack on israel. the jewish state says right now it's treating at least 31 people for injuries, including a ten year old girl. and overnight, israel reopening its airspace for the first time since the unprecedented attack. however it's reported that several foreign airliners canceled their flights to israel. in total, iran launching more than 300 missiles and drones toward the jewish state. but the idf says 99% of the threats were intercepted. together with our allies and partners, we are operating at a at we're operating at full force to defend the state of israel and the people of israel. we will continue to fulfill this mission. trey yingst joins us from tel aviv with the latest trey. yeah. hey, guys. good
3:02 am
morning. overnight, dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles were launched toward israel along with a variety of attack drones. the majority of these projectiles were actually shot down outside of israeli territory by american jets and other israeli jets that were trying to operate before israel's air defense systems had to engage these targets. now, hear from tel aviv. we could see israel's most advanced air defense system, the arrow system, launching interceptor rounds. they soared through the sky and then took down some of these incoming projectiles. in larger cities like jerusalem, more than a million people heading to bomb shelters as sirens blared throughout the city, explosions rocked the sky as these interceptions took place. now, there were two critical phone calls that also took place last night as the iranian attack was unfolding. we know president biden spoke over the phone with israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu, and israel's defense minister yoav galant spoke with his counterpart, secretary
3:03 am
austin. these were calls to get a sense of the situation. the israelis have received a request, reportedly from the americans, to alert them about what potential response might be following this attack by iran, a truly unprecedented attack that has taken the region into uncharted territory. we do expect israel's war cabinet to meet later today here in tel aviv to determine what that response might look like, and israel's defense minister yoav galant, releasing a statement this morning saying that they have successfully thwarted this attack by iran. this may give the israelis an off ramp to avoid taking this conflict to a broader regional war. but today, the iranians also trying to claim victory and a threat from one of iran's top generals, saying this is a shift in policy toward israel. and if the israelis target iranian assets in the region, there will be yet another response. guys, back to you. trey, any indication on how this you just mentioned the
3:04 am
claims being made by iran this morning? any indication how this is being played at home while we're talking about 99% being shot down in the attack, being fairly neutered, what are they telling their people back home in iran? so in iran, we saw some limited protests overnight in support actually, of the iranian regime. it's tough to distinguish, though, when you see these images. oftentimes they will use propaganda to make it look like they have more popular support than they actually do. we've also seen over the past several years many protests in the streets of tehran and other major population centers. there so the iranians are claiming victory for this attack on israel. it is certainly the largest attack in history when it comes to a direct launch from iranian soil toward israel . and the concern here is that iran will be emboldened to do such a thing in the future. now, they didn't activate some of their major proxies in the region. there was some limited activity from iran backed iraqi shia militias, also from the
3:05 am
houthis in yemen. but hezbollah was largely not involved in the direct attack. overnight. they launched some rockets of their own, but that's something they've been doing since october 8th. remember, israel's been at war for more than six months, fighting on the ground inside gaza. they've received new threats from yemen and from lebanon. but the real question today is if the israelis do decide to respond, would that draw yet another iranian response? and could this unravel into a broader regional war? the biden administration hopes not. it's part of the reason they're encouraging the israelis to be careful in how they respond. but israel also doesn't want a new precedent to be set in the region. they don't want iran to feel they're able to attack israel without any sort of consequence. that last part is key. what kind of precedent would would this set? so i guess i want to ask the other side of will's question. it's 1:00 there, tray in what's what's the sentiment or your sense of how the israeli people are feeling about it? i know, i know, it's not a monolith. i get that, but is it okay? we did okay on this one. let's not
3:06 am
escalate. or is it? hey, we can't live this way. we need to counter-strike like, it's a great question and it's a little bit of both. there is a growing frustration among the israeli population that this country is facing continued attacks from all across the middle east. you saw the october 7th massacre and the six month war that followed. more than 9000 rockets were fired from gaza. since that massacre took place. also, you have thousands of rockets and mortars and anti-tank missiles being fired from lebanon. the lebanese militant group hezbollah active each and every day. and now you have a direct threat from iran. so israel is facing multiple fronts, and the israeli people are getting tired of this. but we should note life here in tel aviv, israel's second largest city, is basically normal. there are still cafes and restaurants, open cars and busses running in the streets of this major population center of more than 300,000 people. and while you could see some of those interceptor rounds fired from the distance last night, there
3:07 am
was no panic in the streets. there were no people running on banks or on on grocery stores. there was a sense that israel does have the multi-layer defense capabilities to shoot down any sort of drones or missiles that are launched toward israel. and that's exactly what happened. and so the country was not panicking. and that's part of why you saw the home front command, israel's military wing that is responsible for communicating with civilians, issuing instructions overnight, calling on certain civilians to remain near bomb shelters and for people to avoid large gatherings as they canceled educational activities across the country. but there was no panic in the streets, and largely israel was able to shoot down the majority of the projectiles that were launched at it toward iran. you know, today, iran excuse me, today, israel still fighting the war in gaza. now they have this new front coming directly from iran . and domestically, the israeli government has been facing, you know, some some controversy about how they're handling it,
3:08 am
but also internationally. could these new attacks have an impact on the international or even domestic public perception of the war in gaza? is there any impact? it's a fantastic question. and when we go back just over two weeks ago, before the israelis struck this iranian building in damascus, syria, killing mohammad zahedi, a top iranian general, along with other members of the irgc, we were only talking about the war inside gaza. more than 180 days in. at that point, the focus was the relationship between the biden administration and the government of prime minister benjamin netanyahu and it was a strained relationship at best. there was a lot of criticism from the americans about how the israelis were conducting themselves inside gaza with a rising civilian casualty rate and also limited humanitarian assistance, making it to the northern part of gaza. the focus now has really shifted to real broad threats that israel
3:09 am
faces. and you saw just over the past week and a half a shift in tone from the biden administration. literally overnight, president biden went from saying israel is making a mistake inside gaza, and our support toward israel will be conditional to saying israel will be protected by the united states and supported. and that's an indication that the americans understood how serious the intelligence was when it came to the iranian threat against israel. the intelligence from the americans and the israelis was spot on in this case. they knew what to prepare for, and the conversations were taking place ahead of this attack. and it's part of the reason you saw such a coordinated response and the ability of the americans, the israelis and their partners in the region to shoot down these incoming missiles and drones last night. hey, trey, just real one quick historical follow up as we're putting this all together this morning, the israeli killing of the top quds commander in syria and in damascus that started all of this. do we know? did that
3:10 am
catch the americans by surprise, the american leadership by surprise? were we aware of that, or was that a unilateral action by the israelis? so reports indicate it was a unilateral action by the israelis. and i think there was some frustration, according to the sources that we spoke with over the past two weeks, to get a sense of that relationship that the americans didn't have more of a heads up understanding that there could be such an iranian response. with that, said mohamed safadi is or was rather a man who was responsible for the iranian weapons shipments to places like syria and lebanon. you saw over the past several years the iranians flying in weapons and components to the lebanese militant group hezbollah, their largest proxy in the region. and this was the man responsible for facilitating those shipments and the relationship between top officials in tehran and the leader of the lebanese militant group, hassan nasrallah. and so israel saw this as a direct threat to their security.
3:11 am
understanding that hezbollah has been involved in the fight since the war erupted between israel and gaza, and also understanding that the real threat was never gaza. the threat was from lebanon. it was from the thousands of precision guided missiles and rockets that the militants in southern lebanon have. and that's still today is the biggest threat. and it's part of the reason they launched that strike in damascus, syria, to send a message to the iranians that they will not accept weapons being shipped close to their border so that they can be used against israel in a future conflict. all right. trey yingst, thank you so much. thank you. thank you. trey well, we're joined now by us army brigadier general anthony tata, on fox and friends. good morning. glad to have you with us. you know, as you as you listen to this, as pete mentioned, we're put we're putting this together in some ways it does appear this was a telegraphed, at that by iran, that court really no one by surprise. i think that's
3:12 am
reflected in, in, in how ineffective it was, but still it's an unprecedented state action. iran versus israel. so with the concern being that this line has now been crossed and iran can do direct action within israel, how does israel reset the boundaries? general? how do they reset that? this is not an acceptable response. what is the escalation from israel that accomplishes that without provoking an all out war. hey. well, good morning and to the rest of the team. yeah that's that's really the essence of where we are. right now. i think israel is doing its own battle damage assessment to see what really impacted, you know, the reports of 99, in effective or effective response from the israel and the us or good reports and the kind of thing that you want to hear. and right now, you know, last night, my understanding is that, their war council approved a strong response in principle. and, and today,
3:13 am
putting those plans together, what do they do, i think in large part is, you know, where where the rest of this region will go, i know one thing for certain. i would be very judicious if i were netanyahu with sharing any information with the biden administration with respect to the plans that i have, we know that dod is compromised by iranian sympathizers, you know, the chief of staff to the assistant secretary of defense for low intensity, special ops and low intensity conflict, was caught, communicating with the mullahs prior to her, senate hearings that she attended and briefed at. and so, you know, asking, seeking guidance from the mullahs. so i think, i think there's real, operational security issues here that would put israelis at risk if they do develop a plan that would do
3:14 am
some kind of precision strike, which they've done before. they've proven they can do it, and they certainly have the equipment to do it. and i don't think that anybody would, have any issue, you know, israel early, with, some kind of precision strike in iran to say, you know, we can do this too, if you if you want to play this game. i think they've got to do something, for sure, general, you know, we heard joe biden say repeatedly, don't. well, they did, and there's a lot more doing it looks like that may unfold. so what what was that message meant to relay, especially if there was some understanding that attack was coming, whether it would be intercepted or not. yeah. there's no vision or there's no unifying vision, pete. for from this administration for how to deal with this situation. remember with president trump,
3:15 am
we had the abraham accords. we were creating peace through economic ties, but you know, this administration came in and started to undo all of that because they thought doing the reverse of what president trump did was, was, you know, the best path forward to support their, radicals and the progressive left. and so they've done the biden administration has done more harm to this region than than any any president in my lifetime, for sure. and so, you know, don't is not a message. there's no unifying message, the president and this administration would prefer to keep the american people divided, and cater to the progressive left. they're more concerned about votes in dearborn, michigan, than they are about national security, the one thing they got right was having the navy, pressed up against, you know, the israel in the region there to help with the counter ballistic missile defenses that naval
3:16 am
forces provide. and, of course, the aircraft that, that we have that are very capable of doing so and so i think i, you know, i give the administration credit for that, but, this, this president divides this nation. he's and he certainly has no, moral authority to tell israel what to do, they're they're only they're only focus is on votes in america during an election year. and they are trying to drive israeli foreign policy in that direction. well, general, i'm also concerned about china, you know, we apparently asked china to help thwart this attack. and obviously it happened. anyway, i had victoria coats on and she said, china wants us in another engaged in another war because they want to take care of what they want to do in taiwan before joe biden potentially leaves office. how concerned are you about that? i'm very concerned. i watch victoria and dana. peter, my west point
3:17 am
classmate, make very good points about all of this. and, and, you know, the russia, china, iran and north korea are all sort of laughing right now at the united states because of the unparalleled weakness that is being projected and this i can't overstate the division of, of america right now. you know, there are many americans right now in the progressive left that are applauding iran's attack on israel. and this the marshaling the will within the united states to have a cohesive foreign policy to support our number one ally in the region, you know, is almost impossible right now. what what really should be happening is diplomatic efforts, both in asia, you know, with with our allies in the region and diplomatic efforts with jordan and in saudi arabia, that and uae, that gave some indication of, you know, left over from
3:18 am
the abraham accords that, you know, look, don't don't mess with israel. we have good stuff happening here. and, you know, there was some indication that, the arab front, you know, was willing to at least step back from the persian attacks against israel, general tata, thank you very much for your insight. thank you. you appreciate it, sir? yeah. thank you general. thanks, team. well, today, the g7 leaders and the united nations security council will hold emergency meetings after iran's unprecedented attack on israel. this, as joe biden is reaffirming america's support for the jewish state. matt la rivera is live in washington with the latest. madeleine. good morning, guys. president biden's conversation with g7 leaders today as part of the us effort to de-escalate the situation in the middle east, the president maintains us support for israel's security is ironclad, a commitment that was laid out in full display saturday as iran launched more than 300 projectiles towards
3:19 am
israel. the israeli defense forces says 99% of these attacks were intercepted, and us navy and air force assets helped with these interceptions, shooting down 70 iranian drones and multiple ballistic missiles. in a statement, the president says iran and its proxies operating out of yemen, syria and iraq launch an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in israel. i condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms, but what happens next is unclear. wary of being drawn further into the war, president biden reportedly told israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu in a call that the us won't support any israeli counterattack against iran. us officials had already aired frustration through media reports that israel left them in the dark on the strike on iran's embassy compound in damascus april 1st, which led to iran's retaliation this weekend, iran's mission to the united nations says after saturday's attack the matter can be deemed concluded. however, they warn, should the israeli regime make another mistake or retaliates, iran's
3:20 am
response will be more severe and that the us must stay away from the conflict. in a statement, defense secretary lloyd austin says we do not seek conflict with iran, but we will not hesitate to act to protect our forces and support the defense of israel. israel is asking the un security council to condemn iran's attack and designate the islamic revolutionary guard corps as a terrorist organization. will rachel and pete. madeline, thank you for. thank you, madeleine. of course . all right. we'll talk to a member of israel's knesset live from tel aviv. that's next. when barbara switched to turbotax, i broke four generations of family tradition. mom i want to make perfume. so i made barbara's new sidekick count. by guaranteeing her maximum refund. intuit turbotax. so what do you think about these? we're going to take everything

3:25 am
being here. if you would first give us a sense of the mood of the israeli people there on the ground coming out of this attack, what's the feel? good morning. you know, indeed, we are at a very long night. many israelis stayed awake to watch the interception to get the reports. and today we woke up. we blessed, we bless the lord. we bless the israeli air force, our allies who stood with us because it was almost a miracle. imagine you had 300 rockets, uav missiles flying into our direction, and we were able to intercept 99% of them. that's a amazing thing. but at the same time, we are still on high alert because we realize that we have to retaliate in our neighborhood. you cannot sit idly by after such aggression coming from tehran. it will bring more attacks against israel. so i think in the next few hours we will have to decide how, when and where we punch back against the
3:26 am
aggression of iran. danny you're very well connected inside leadership circles in israel. so when you say something like, we will attack it. just so you're saying, it's a matter of when, not a matter of if and you because iran said through a statement of the un, hey, this is done, we're done. and we're going to hear that even from the us administration, we want this to be done. your sense is you can't tolerate a new status quo like this. well, we live in a different neighborhood. we are not in the us or canada and in our neighborhood. if you don't punch back, it's irresponsible. and i think the leadership in israel is aware of that, that it will be irresponsible not to retaliate because because it will create a new equation in the middle east that iran will actually dictate when they would start an attack, when they will end the attack not only against israel, against the other moderate countries in the region. so for the future
3:27 am
of our kids, for the future of israel, we have to, punish iran for what they did. they crossed a red line. it never happened before. they always use proxies. they spent billions of dollars on the proxies. but for the first time, they chose to send those rockets and missiles from iran. we cannot, move, on after such an attack. danny, is it your sense that israel or the united states was given a heads up that this attack was going to happen, there was so much reporting that there would be an attack from iran. everyone was sort of waiting for it. did do you have a sense of how much of a heads up there was? did iran really want the missiles to get through? just israelis defenses were that good. give us a sense of how much chess is being played here, versus how much of it is. is iran wanting to kill israelis? well, you know, they announced a few days ahead of the attack that they will send
3:28 am
the rockets and missiles from iran to israel, and they stressed the point that it will not be through proxies, that it will be from iran. we took it very seriously. we were ready for that. and that's why yesterday what we saw was, beyond imagination. you know, i was up all night. you can look at the skies of tel aviv or jerusalem, and you would see the interception. we even protected the mosque of al-aqsa in jerusalem, unfortunately, there were a few people wounded . a young girl, a bedouin girl. she is still in critical condition, and we pray for her recovery. but overall, you know, it was an amazing show of our defense system. and it's a sign for oman. we are ready. we are ready to protect ourselves, but we are also ready to attack . they should know that, danny, real quick, how does this affect the war in gaza? because there are reports that hamas has rejected israel's latest cease fire response, sticking to their demands. you still hostages there? how does it affect that war? well,
3:29 am
unfortunately, we have seen that hamas is not willing to engage despite the offers that were brought to the table. and i see the connection. i see the connection between hamas and iran. you know, you see the radical rhetoric, you see the behavior of sinwar and the leaders of tehran. and you realize that those radicals, they don't care about achieving results. they care about destroying the jewish people. that's why we take it very seriously. you know, history has taught us to take it seriously. when you have a regime or a leadership that is threatening the jews, we should not take it, not seriously, no doubt. well, danny danon, we're thankful that you and your family are safe after a long night. and thanks for joining us this morning. we appreciate it. thank you very much. good morning. godspeed. all right. prime minister benjamin netanyahu says israel is ready for all scenarios. trey yingst has a live report from the ground coming up next. on

we're back with the fox news alert. iran launching its first ever direct attack on israel, hurting at least 31 people, including a ten year old girl, trey yingst is all over it and joins us from tel aviv with the latest. hey, trey. yeah. hey, guys. good morning. in just about two hours, israel's war cabinet will meet here in tel aviv to determine if and how israel will respond to this attack overnight. that included dozens of ballistic missiles, dozens of cruise missiles and attack drones launched from iranian territory, along with the help of their proxies in the region targeting israel. now, the majority of these projectiles were intercepted outside of israeli airspace. many of them, though, slipped past the attempts by israeli fighter jets and american jets to shoot them down. it's part of the reason that we saw israel's most advanced air defense systems active
3:35 am
overnight. behind me, we could see missile interceptor rounds soaring through the skies of tel aviv, headed toward those drones and missiles in larger cities like jerusalem, there were more than a million people headed to bomb shelters as this attack was unfolding. the question now is what the israeli response will be. israel wants to send a message to iran that these types of attacks won't be accepted. but iranian officials, through their state propaganda media today are indicating there would be another iranian attack if israel does respond. and so tension does remain high across the region. there are real concerns that larger iranian proxies could get more. directly involved in the fight, like the iran backed lebanese militant group hezbollah that largely stayed out of the attack overnight. hezbollah did launch some rockets of their own. it was not directly coordinated, though. they've been firing on israel since october 8th. and in response, we do understand israeli fighter jets struck different hezbollah positions this morning in southern lebanon.
3:36 am
and so, again, the region is waiting to see what comes next. and we do expect more conversations to take place today between the americans and the israelis to coordinate any sort of possible response. though overnight reports did indicate the biden administration told israel they would not participate in any sort of offensive action against the iranians. understanding that we are at a precipice here in the middle east, truly uncharted territory that could drag the region into a much broader war. guys, back to you. yeah, trey, it does sound like a tinderbox. and so my next question to you is, what is the reaction of the neighbors in that area? jordan and saudi arabia, has israel or the united states received any messages from them that you're aware of? so overnight, a lot of regional countries shut down their airspace. they were on high alert, fearing an immediate israeli reaction that could have unraveled things much more quickly. overall, they saw what took place, and that was a coordinated effort
3:37 am
by the israelis and the americans to shoot down these incoming missiles and drones. remember, israel had days to plan for this. iran was threatening a response to that initial strike earlier this month in damascus, syria, that drew this iranian reaction. they had two weeks to prepare, and so the region understood this was coming. the intelligence was spot on from the americans and the israelis. and so there was coordination on that front in terms of the statements that we have seen from regional countries, especially the gulf countries like saudi arabia. they are urging all parties to have restraint. they understand that a regional. war in the middle east, broader than what we've seen over the past six months, would not benefit anyone. but again, israel is walking a fine line here to determine what an appropriate response would be. and we're looking at a spectrum here of possible responses. israel could do nothing. they could say they had a successful campaign to intercept this iranian attack. following the killing of the top iranian general, mohammad safadi in

damascus, syria, earlier this month. or they could escalate to target iranian nuclear facilities to send a message to tehran and officials there that these types of attacks will not be accepted. there's a variety of possibilities in the hours and days ahead, but it is critical to step back from this situation again to understand the threats that israel is facing from other major organizations like hezbollah, an organization that, with the help of the iranians, has stockpiled hundreds of thousands of missiles, drones and precision guided munitions that could be used. against israel. that would make the war between israel and gaza look like child's play. i mean, a real significant threats against the jewish state. and that is truly, according to our sources, what israel is most worried about in the days ahead, for sure. trey yingst, thank you for the report. we'll be back. thank you trey, stay safe for sure. thank you all right. places of worship across here at home are now on high alert after iran's massive missile attack on israel.

3:45 am
morning. it's so wonderful to be with you. probably to iran's great dismay, we saw a tremendous historic change in the middle east yesterday. and not to the islamic republic of iran's benefit. what we saw was that despite the fact that iran has tried to create this ring of fire around israel with its proxies, hamas, hezbollah, the militias in syria and iraq, despite that ring of fire around israel, we saw a western led alliance that included arab states like jordan and the kingdom of saudi arabia participating in the interception of iran's assault on israel. so we are in historic times where we have both the west and muslim arab countries, sunni states standing with israel against iran and really isolating the islamic republic of iran. today that's so interesting because yesterday we saw donald trump at a rally in pennsylvania saying this would have never happened with me. but you're saying that we're also seeing
3:46 am
the effects still of the abraham accords in this incursion in yesterday. exactly right. rachel. so this is the outcome of the abraham accords, the proudest achievement, one of the proudest achievements of the trump administration's foreign policy under president trump's leadership, we saw the abraham accords were the first peace deals in the middle east in 26 years. at the time when president trump brokered peace between israel, the united arab emirates, bahrain, then morocco and sudan. and so today, what we're seeing is that not only those countries are still standing side by side with israel, but even we're hearing reports that the kingdom of saudi arabia has participated in some way in this interception yesterday. we know that some of the assaults from iran's activities came from yemen and syria, and iraq. and so, again, you have this sunni gulf, arab countries coming to the defense of israel, historic

times. and truly, in thanks to president trump's leadership and the abraham accords, peace deals. yeah, it really shows a big difference in the way these two leaders at this very critical time, by the way, politically for the united states, how they handled foreign policy. so one, a peace time president putting together accords and negotiations in order to keep the peace. and another one who's just sort of managing and funding wars, throughout his presidency. rachel, this is unbelievable, because the fact that in such a short time, as soon as joe biden came into office, we saw one war break out on the european continent. and here we are today, on the brink of another hugely potentially escalating regional war in the middle east. so now under joe biden, we do have two wars on two continents breaking out in such a short time period. and as you said, you can contrast that with the trump administration. not that long ago, where we had peace prevail around the world. and i would tell you, rachel, that joe
3:48 am
biden has been telegraphing weakness from the day that he came into office, specifically in terms of iran. he came into office, he delisted the houthis off the foreign terror organization list. he stopped enforcing the trump administration's sanctions against iran, the oil sanctions , and allows our lead adversary, china to buy iranian oil, thereby strengthening both the chinese and the iranians. so all of these and he gave the money for the hostages as well. so they're directly funding them. in addition to that. exactly right. and so all of these failed iran policies by joe biden has led us to where we are today. what i'm hopeful, though, is that i believe in the israelis and their capabilities. i know that they're considering right now what their options are. and i know that they take this assault from israel seriously. so i hope that joe biden will do the right thing, continue to stand by israel and members of congress as well. we're we're hoping they'll pass the israel aid bill as soon as possible.

seize the awkward. it's totally worth it. today at insurify.com. fox news alert this morning. debris from drones and missiles littering the streets of jordan's capital after allies joined forces with the us, helping to stop the terror regime. retired us army lieutenant colonel darren dekalb was a black hawk helicopter pilot and battalion commander in the middle east. and he joins us now. darren, thanks for so much for being with us. so, let's talk for a moment about how this how these attacks would have been intercepted. reports this morning from trey yingst worried that the majority were shot down from aircraft instead of iron dome or arrow defense systems, which played a role as well. the majority were taken out by us, israeli or jordanian allied air force. what would that have? what would that operation, that mission have been like? yeah. good morning.
3:54 am
thanks for having me on, well, the first thing that sticks out when you talk about aircraft intercepting all these systems is the fact that they had enough warning through intelligence channels and others that these the drones and missiles were actually coming, because that means they were either ready to launch or already in the air, ready to intercept shortly after iran launched them. now this would be typical, interception techniques as far as radars on the ground and in the air, identifying these targets and then moving those aircraft to the location to be able to shoot them down, and the fact that over 200 systems were launched against israel from iran and most of them were intercepted, shows just how effective the air forces are from these different countries that took part. now, we're lucky that the iron dome didn't even have to get involved, but i think that sent a message also to the to iran and the people in the region that israel is well, well defended through this coalition of forces that are that are
3:55 am
overseeing it. so the reports are it's over 300 different projectiles, drones and missiles. what type of air force activity would that require to bring down? if we assume the majority were taken down by by an air force? like, what are we talking about? like how many, how many missiles or drones can one plane take out over? i assume? i think reports are this was between an hour and a half and two hours. it took. so i'm just curious what kind of how much we scrambled into the air over the air. well, i think that number is not exactly known, and it shouldn't be, but the kind of ordnance that one fighter can carry is, is enough to be able to take down potentially up to 10 or 15 of these drones or missile systems with one aircraft. so when you put up enough aircraft from both us forces, british forces and potentially israel, israel air force, then you can quickly get to the total number and the capacity to be able to take
3:56 am
down the majority of these of these aircraft or these drones and missiles. okay and so when you look at this, darren, the one thing you also said that i think is fascinating really quickly, i have here with you is that there would have been some advanced warning whether or not it's through intelligence or back channel communications, that these, that, that our fighter jets, our meaning allied forces against iran would have been somewhat ready to go. yeah, absolutely. and i think we saw that with the steps israel was taking by, canceling leaves and activating other units that they knew iran was going to answer shortly. and iran was not hiding that either. so, this is not a mystery that they were going to attack the specific kind of intelligence that struck me was the fact that we knew this was the kind. i apologize, darren, i got to leave it right there. i have a hard break, but we appreciate your input, lieutenant colonel darren gough, we'll be right back. i think this is my favorite. okay, hun. what do you think of this one? oh, is this going to be ready in time for the baby from design and
