Another example of 1950's Popular culture, in this case an episode of "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show" possibly called "Too Much of the Mortons" and possibly aired the 5th July, 1951. In this show, Gracie plays her trademark ditzy character, George plays the straight-man, while Bea Benaderet and Fred Clark play an unhappy married couple (though they are happier here than in some other episodes). The Live show was always light, harmless entertainment.

Subject: Another great live episode...

This indeed aired live on the West Coast on July 5, 1951 (and seen by East Coast viewers, via kinescope, on July 19th; the coaxial cable enabling "coast-to-coast" TV broadcasts was two months away from being completed). In answer to your question, 'Seto-Kaiba', this was staged in Hollywood, at CBS' Columbia Square facilities (originally radio studios). The first six episodes of the series [October- December 1950] were produced at the Mansfield Theater in New York, until it was decided the show would originate from Hollywood...

I like this show more than the pathetically unfunny National Nine News, which isn't even national!
