a big rig overturned on westbound interstate 80. the interstate off ramp is shut down, but the truck is upright. this happened at about 2:45, no word yet on exactly what caused it. and about a mile to the south, traffic being affected by this grass fire at intersection of interstates 08 and 780, breaking out around 3:00 p.m . putting up heavy smoke, forcing chp to put up connector ramps. officials say the fire is mostly contained and ramps should reopen, shortly, there. no word yet what caused this fire the firefighters say it may have started near the homeless camp nearby. >> in sonoma county a report from a private investigator boosting defense in the case of a santa rosa mother accused of grabbing a boy she claimed bullied her daughter. wayne freedman has results of the investigation. >> it's not a matter of reading between the lines and between

blacked-out names. this report shows content of a private investigation defending the mother of six awaiting charges for going on to campus of a school and allegedly choking a 12-year-old boy she said had been bullying her daughter. >> tells me my client did nothing wrong. >> the defense attorney cites three witnesses twochl kids and a school aide say she confronted the boy, but never touched him. one children interviewed said the boy choked himself. and then, blamed her to get even. >> the kid was very specific. that saw it in how it was done. he put his hand up like this, choking himself. and he described very specifically, that to my investigators. >> that investigation reports sheriff deputies chose to ares her anyway. there is no comment from the sheriff's department the district attorney's office issued a statement that reads in

an east bay refinery wants to cut green house gases in the process but is this project all it claims to be? laura anthony is live in martinez. laura? >> no, the environmental review hasn't started f shell has its way, the big tower behind me would be shut down, in six years. >> jim bunkeders lived next to the shell refinery and had his share of issues when it comes to the companies proposed project so far, bunter is on board. >> that sounds like a good deal.

>> this is a 30-year-old unit shell hopes to phase out. >> where there is everything to like about the project we're going to come into compliance with green house gas standards and also going to lessen our dependence on heavy crude. >> shell claims modernization would reduce the green house gas emissions by 700,000 met trick tons per year. >> shell has been reducing pollution through flares . >> some critics have a distrust of plans put forward by a big oil company. in richmond, environmentalists and the city delayed a modernization of the chevron refinery that would allow to it process heavier crude.

students at uc berkeley gathering tonight for a somber reason to show their sympathy and support for fellow students, particularly, families of the six killed during friday's deadly rampage. three are from the bay area. allen? >> this has touched a lot of students across california. it's no different here at uc

berkeley. organizers say their facebook page indicates 1300 people are interested in showing up tonight, which will be held here this is just one in a number of demonstrations. a father of a student led a chant and criticized lack of gun control in this country. students held a vigil to express thoughts and uc berkeley students will express feelings on the incident that rekindled concerns over safety. >> among friends and family, we're concerned laws haven't changed after these incidents. this is just another in the long list. this is two of them here.
