and so sweet. so thank you, you know who you are. and we sat there with him in the basket and he went home and did a little pooh-pooh in the yard. we put him outside on the street of new york, hoda. look at him. 40 people instantly around this dog taking pictures. we're going to follow the progression of blake and cinnamon lee. >> we should also point out, i was asking my mom about dog sitting. some people in our building said congratulations to my mother, you'll be dog sitting. my mom was, like, oh, no, i'm not. our moms are upstairs in the kitchen. >> where they like to be. >> they are cooking a pie. hey. >> they really need their own show on the cooking network. food network. >> they're cooking up two delicious meals. your mom is making a main course. mine's making a dessert. >> everybody already enjoyed their baklava from earlier today. >> she made killer baklava. you were busy last night. >> i barely stay in the city but my mom was visiting with my brother david and his wife sandy and my old-time friend, and i hate to say it, because between the two of us, i look like her mother now.

okay. in case you haven't heard, i got a dog yesterday! and after months and months of talking about it, finally i feel like i found the perfect one, whose name is blake! >> now that hoda is a pet owner and mommy, it's time to teach her to get tough in a good way. bill beryl oni is a trainer and director for the humane society of new york, a good friend of our show. >> how are you? >> and you made a great selection. >> yeah? >> i spent some time with him. he's smart, friendly, he's perfect. he'll be great for your lifestyle. but we have to get him started off right. he's still a puppy. whether he's 3 or 5 months he needs a puppy room. all the equipment you need, and kathie lee, jump in, i already put his harness on. we always train on a harness. >> why is that? >> it's tough on their neck. >> exactly. but keep the collar on for identification.

focused because your brain is going in a million directions, right? >> absolutely. start with a little electronic reminder list. it can be on your phone and it can remind you. it will actually go off. you can put it next to your bed at night if you're one of those people that wakes up -- >> a beeper like. >> you can program it all in. it will go off all week for you and you can check off the little boxes if you're a checker-offer like i am. >> you are. >> i am. >> is that important to have to-do list? >> i think it's good to have a not to do list, too. i'm really into that lately because it's spring and it's time to let go of stuff and clear the clutter from your mind. because it's the mental clutter, i call it life plaque, that can really hold you back. i think you could put on your not to do list is to stop thinking about how you have to be everything, do everything for everybody. everybody has to like you, which is one of the things we learn -- worry about a lot. the thing is only the only thing everybody likes is water because it has no taste. right? so you want to be like water?

>> no. >> we want to be like wine. >> fine wine. >> margarita. >> one of the great things as you get older is you don't worry about people. >> you stop worrying about the ones that don't matter. >> you can't control it. >> and the ones who don't. >> realistically, if you're being pulled in a million different directions with kids to pick up and things to do, husband, dinner, how do you -- what's the advice when it comes to feeling that kind of frazzled? >> when you're cuckoo like that, one of the things you can do for work, sounds crazy, but if you take an hour on a saturday or sunday, say you are overwhelmed by the amount of things you have to do. go into work for an hour. get it done when no one's there. clear it all away and you will actually move much faster through your workday on those regular workdays. >> and if you're driving somewhere, don't put on the news, which is all bad, only upsets you. >> classical music. >> or enya or somebody like that that soothes your soul. put on james taylor. you'll feel great.

>> that's a funny thing which i hadn't thought about, but we have that constant vibration. i know i do in my house. sometimes when i turn it all off and put music on and i'm not listening to the voices, that definitely slows things down. >> editing is a really big thing for us. one of the things that i'm working with people on right now is to stop assuming the worst. you know, the air around you. you know, you can -- if it -- if somebody doesn't answer your e-mail, you make it me. if they didn't like my idea, maybe it wasn't a good idea, maybe this whole thing isn't that good, maybe i'm not that good. >> good point. >> the funny thing that happens is they didn't answer your e-mail. why wait to be unhappy when i can be unhappy now? >> exactly. great point. >> i can create my own unhappiness. >> these are all good ideas, you guys. thanks, ladies. >> festive ways to dress up your easter table for kids and adults.

since it's cold outside, if you bring them into your warm house today or tomorrow, put hem in -- put them in warm water and they will hopefully spore some out in time for easter lunch. just some branches. we know we can get those right now. we hung little easter eggs from it. we brought the colors down to the table. even if it's a simple white place, pull out your pretty linens. >> what's going on? little chocolate eggs? >> it's so fun to put a little something special at each place setting. >> i like the way you did the napkin thing, too. >> and those we found on sale, which is so fun when you find bright colors on sale. >> we have some bunnies here. >> a couple bunnies. >> what are they doing? >> coloring using our center piece. colored sand at an -- in an acrylic container. the sand and the crayons. we lined the table with paper so that they could color away. and look at their napkins. >> look at the napkins. >> oh, no, indeed. >> carrot. >> so clever. >> isn't that fun? >> they still have bright colors and mix and match plates and
