they are getting ready for rally that will begin in the next half-hour there in the middle of a contract dispute with the medical center. the hospital tells us there are three outstanding issues left, wage increases, benefits and paid time off. and at the dispute is the healthcare coverage and union health benefits of the start of the year and for some including one woman we spoke to, it changed everything for healthcare coverage as well as for her newborn daughter. >> we live in the south bay and she has no coverage and we both have no coverage in the south bay. every emergency room you can bring a child yourself, you're covered but forgetting admitted, my daughter would only be able to be admitted and john amir in the east bay and i'm not okay with that. >> we are hoping to close the

contract. many of the members are out striking and we are here keeping the hospital open and making sure we are providing excellent care to the community. the emergency department is open 24/7 and we have physicians on duty so if members need to come to the hospital, we are open and ready to serve them. >> the hospital says they are offering 16% pay increases over three years with free medical benefits for employees and their families and up to 400 hours annually of accrued paid time off. from what i have heard from workers is it is the benefits and coverage that remains a sticking point and as you can see it on the signs and on the picket lines this morning, we will have to see what kind of progress the two sites can make. it is the first of a two day strike. this started this

morning and are expected to be here until 3:00 this afternoon and the same for tomorrow so we will be watching to see how this moves forward. the feds are charging seven chinese hackers with sweeping cyber attacks including some attacks here in california. the hackers spent 14 years targeting officials in what is being called economic espionage which includes hacking into it providers or software companies, engineering companies and california university. it did not specify which were targeted. the fbi said the hacking schemes that compromise email accounts, cloud storages and surveillance programs. and your court is offering to reduce the bond that former president trump has to post in the civil fraud trial. >> he has more time to come up with money. >> he has 10 days and i call this idea hail mary but

sometimes they pay off. the courts have lowered the bond to $175 million from $450 million and trump has 10 more days to find the money. his lawyers were told they did not have the cash on hand to cover the full bond and could not find anyone to lend it to him. bonds are not punishment but a way to guarantee future payment and to be clear the court is not reducing the amount of money he has to pay as punishment, as a fine for business fraud in the state of new york but it is reducing the amount of money he is set aside for deposit, sort, as he appeals the case. if 10 days from now he starts to pay the fine or post a bond, and the state of new york is cleared to start seizing has properties. it won't be as dramatic as someone slapping a padlock on the trump tower, the state attorney can simply put a lien on the properties which would

let's talk about how much rain we had over the weekend. in the santa cruz mountains nearly 2 inches of rainfall from the system that moved through. and the oakland hills area about 1.5 inches and in san jose and santa rosa, 1 inch and a little bit less for san francisco with about 0.5 inch of rainfall. it feels so cool outside and we are headed up for 64 for a high in concord, much of the north bay as well as the south bay, 64 degrees today but slightly warmer tomorrow as we get more sunshine and as you can see with the 7 day forecast at the bottom of the screen, the rain comes back on wednesday and it most likely will move into the north bay early and it will keep the temperatures down. looking at a high on wednesday a 59 in santa rosa while in san jose in the upper 60s as the rain comes later in the day. with the first wave it looks like it's in and out of here

fairly quickly but then another storm system coming in right behind that on friday that may keep us in an active weather pattern and some scattered showers into the rest of the weekend with some very chilly temperatures that will bring the sierras and snow. for us, the first wave of snow coming in on wednesday will bring us, for most of us about 0.25 inch of rainfall in san jose and parts of the peninsula, to the east bay possibly 0.5 to .75 of an inch could be higher at the north bay. in the sierra this is the last weekend of march and it is going to be very difficult to get through with heavy snow falling. we may measure about 39 inches of snow for kirkwood. we can see all the rain icons, starting up on wednesday, the temperatures will be even cooler than what we usually see for this time of year. if he had weekend outdoor plans, look at what you will see , off and on rain as well as the temperatures in the low 60s and it's basically going to be
