12:03 pm
is outside the courtroom in lower manhattan. dasha, let's start with you. what new information did the jury hear during testimony today in. >> reporter: couple of major moments that builds on on the cross-examination from the defense that we heard last week, number one the defense got michael cohen to admit today that he stole money from the trump organization that's big for the jury, because now not only can the defense paint him as an unreliable narrator, as a liar, but also as a thief. another major moment last week, when the defense talked to cohen about a phone call he made to trump's bodyguard, where the defense showed text messages about a 14-year-old that was making harassing phone calls to michael cohen and cohen was talking to schiller about that, that's all the phone call was about, they also discussed
12:04 pm
stormy daniels the reason this phone call is so important this is one of those pieces of evidence that the prosecution is trying to use to tie michael cohen, this hush money scheme all back to former president trump, to say he knew about it, he directed it, and that's been in question today, there was a big moment where the jury was sent out of the courtroom and the prosecution, defense and the judge all argued about whether or not to show an image from video showing them together after a rally just moments before a phone call that was made from michael cohen to keith schiller. ultimately that was admitted into evidence and this back and forth on this phone call is really important for the jury, again, connecting the dots back to trump, the question also lays out once hearing this, is trump going to demand that he get a chance to testify? we still don't know if we'll see the former president on the stand in his own defense in.
12:05 pm
>> dasha, thank you. the day started with the judge hearing from both sides when it comes to rules regarding the jury, what exactly are those and why is that so critical in this case specifically. >> the rules for the jury are called jury instructions, for every case there exists standard jury instructions and basically what it does it allows the jury to understand the legal principles. to come up with a decision. they're super important. such a tug of war for the prosecution and the defense over what the jury instructions will say because each of the party do get to tailor it. each side will want to tailor it to the nary ray tif to overall case. >> cohen is a key witness -- >> the defense made some really great points, there was
12:06 pm
effective testimony, but i think it was too long and meandering, some of the reports said that the jurors weren't paying attention, they were look at the wall, that's not good, you want to keep the jury's attention when you're making those effective points, he'll have an opportunity to close on those points, losing the jury can be detrimental to a case. >> thank you both. we're hearing for the first time from sean combs following the release of that disturbing surveillance video. >> combs took to instagram over the weekend saying he was quote disgusted by himself. >> my behavior on that video is inexcusable. i take full responsibility. for my actions in that video. >> chloe melas has more on what combs said.

that appointment. 24 hours later i ended up in the emergency room. there i learned one of my fibroids had doubled in size. if i didn't action doctors told me my symptoms would worsen. so i looked into specialized treatment and got a lot of scans. just finished the show so now i'm heading to get my mri. the shorts really make the outfit. then, i met this doctor, a gynecologist and now my doctor. >> the ultrasound tends to underestimate the number of fibroids. >> reporter: she's the director of nyu langon center for fibroid care. >> the whole thing the uterus. >> okay. one of my big questions and concerns was, fertility. i think i even asked you, do i need to freeze my eggs right now. what does this mean? >> fibroids are so common. we know that women can still get pregnant, we have data to support if a fibroid is in the lining of the

12:48 pm
let's start with the treatments. what are the treatments that are out there. >> there are an array of treatments. you heard about a few in the video that we discussed in the office, medications, procedures and then there are surgical procedures hysteroscopy. >> so the way i like to think about it, we can either shrink the fibroids or remove the fibroids or remove the uterus. >> which is drastic. >> what do people need to know, both of you, what are the warning signs? >> i think on my end i had normalized things like heavy cramping, long periods, bleeding during my periods through my clothing and it wasn't until i met the doctor and i went oh,

that wasn't normal despite the fact that i had been raising my hand. >> i think it's -- the symptoms are so normalized by women, we have to put up with really bad periods every month, this is part of being a woman, i hear that every day which kind of drives me crazy, no we don't have to put up with it, we have lots of options for you and the most important thing is that you understand how you're feeling, you understand the symptoms and you can decide whether or not -- >> how do the fibroids get there in the first place? >> well, they are smooth muscle tumors, they're fed by estrogen. every woman of reproductive years has and it feeds the tumors and they grow slowly, they're benign, very low risk of cancer. but they create all kinds of problems for women. >> we had all those terms up on the screen where they're
