offshore so i'm going to keep the map up and show you where temperatures in just a minute and this system is creeping towards us and warming us up even more than yesterday giving us a little bit more clear conditions too. now we're not seeing any rain in the forecast anytime soon. because that -- because that system is sitting just offshore but i will say this. we're about 15 degrees above average today in certain pockets of the inland areas and for example, san jose, sitting t 82 degrees this afternoon. putting us 13 degrees above average there and taking a look at the rest of bay area we're hitting the 70s today near san francisco. so off in the east bay where we have the 70s yesterday, now we're starting to see that warmth kind of bleed all the way over to the peninsula. still sit in the upper 60s today near half-moon bay but beautiful nonetheless. and all the way down into the santa clara valley we go, like we mentioned 80s into this afternoon. now we're going to see a repeat of this forecast tomorrow. as the system still sitting offshore giving us this huge little heat dome. but things are going to change into this weekend and i'll have more on that coming up. for now over to you, g. thank you. let's talk about the freeways right now as we take a look at conditions on some of bay area bridges. and
5:04 am
we're off to a fairly good start which is good news for a wednesday morning. yes, we are halfway through the workweek friends. but a live look here and you can see not a lot of cars making that ride into san francisco just yet. and if anything changes we'll keep you updated. but so far, so good on most of our roadways. the exception is that ride into the altamont pass this morning. westbound 580 bogging down just a little bit out of tracy getting on to the 580 connector over towards about grant line. all right, g, new bay area protests to talk about over the war in gaza and this time, google employees arrested over a sit-in inside the boss' office in sunnyvale. so they wanted the world to see this. as they live streamed the event as police moved in. protesters have a problem with google cloud project nimbus and its contract with the israeli government. let's start it outside and end it up inside. the cloud ceo's office. that's trespassing according to police who arrested the protesters. this protest by the way happened in both google offices in new york and in california. so we reached out to google and from there

perspective, the protest physically impeded other employees' work and they say that's a policy violation. the protesting employees by the way are now on leave and their access to google systems cut off. well, that google protest over gaza followed the monday morning snarl we all saw and in fact the world saw, traffic stopped as protesters shut down 880 and the golden gate bridge for hours. these protesters, they went to jail. but by this morning, more than two dozen are out on bail. before they were released, dozens gathered outside san francisco county jail and you hear them right there chanting. so far we can tell you the 26 arrests have yet to be charged. >> we are here demanding that no charges filed and that everybody's immediately released. >> what they're trying to charge them with. it is criminal to charge them. >> so to be clear, none of the 26 arrested have been charged. da brooke jenkins says she needs to see more evidence. >> we have to be able to attribute specific conduct to

5:12 am
with his two cents saying he doesn't think klay leaving would be the best scenario for the franchise. >> absolutely not. we've had this discussion for years with thompson because he could easily go to another team and be the star there. not that he's not the star with the warriors but he's one of three. it's a group effort. i feel like he is the type of guy and we'll see what happens this time around that will stay, take less, take less of the stardom and less of the money to stay and keep the group together. >> i mean, that connection, that chemistry, there's no amount of money that you can pay to make that happen. and you are never going to get that anywhere else. klay had a bad night and this is not how we want the season to end. as a fan. it's still dub nation. we still love them and we're still going to cheer them on and i want to cheer them on with klay as part of the team. >> he's a big part of their identity. 5:12. let's check in with shawn. >> reporter: hey gianna, good morning. we are here in san
