coast guard is still trying to find them. the coast guard says they are looking for a boat called the charm below. they are asking for the public's help, if you have any information as to where it doctors or are how many people were actually on the boat they would appreciate the information. it started yesterday around for when they received a radio call about a boat in distressed about 15 mi. off the coast of monterey. at that point they were in radio contact for about an hour. around 530 is when the people on that boat said they were going to have to abandon the boat and made some sort of makeshift life raft out of some coolers that were on board. throughout the night there were multiple agencies trying to find this boat and the water. we had a chance to talk to the coast guard earlier this morning.

searching the waters of monterey bay for for people who went missing after they reported their sailboat was sinking. authorities say the boat was about 65 mi. west of monterey when they call for help yesterday afternoon. jackie sissel is giving us of the latest update on the search. >> we are approaching 16 hours since the last three of traffic was receive from the boat. they continue to have resources out there searching the waters off of monterey. there's new information that the coast guard release the name of the boat the charm below. they're asking if the public knows anything about the boat are who owned that boat to please let them know because they do not have any information. around 420

yesterday afternoon is one they receive the first radio call from the boat. an hour later was the last three of traffic when they stated they were abandoning ship. they made eight life raft out of coolers. lots of resources and to surge, helicopters, airplanes, of the air national guard as well as the coast guard is all looking for them now. we had a chance to talk to the coast guard earlier this morning >> the coast guard received a call from a boat that they were taking on water. about an hour after five this morning we received a report that they were going to abandon their shifts and
