fatalities blamed on the storm have been reported in north carolina ... including an infant. the storm is already causing catastrophic flooding and is expected to continue inland for days across the carolinas. the deadly storm is barely moving, and is responsible for knocking-out power to nearly a million people. (justine) right now were taking a live look along the coast of folly beach south carolina. you can see the rough surf and rain just pouring down. florence is not going anywhere quickly.(jr stone) we want to continue with our team coverage now as we are joined by meteorologist mabrisa rodriguez. she has been tracking florence as it creeps along. . .

. the bay area will see slightly warmer temperatures on sunday and monday, but daytime highs will remain below normal. expect 60s along the coast and 70s inland. slightly cooler weather is forecasted for tuesday. warmer temperatures will begin on wednesday and continue on thursday where the bay area will see 5-15 degrees of warming. near average temperatures will return next weekend. no rain is forecast through next week.

"i would greatly appreciate some help to find him. whoever would like to help please come."(jr stone) on monday... 21-year-old santa rosa resident felix (muh-gone-yuh) magana told one of his brothers he was going out for a walk. that morning -- he was spotted at the san rafael transit center, and hasn't been seen since. (justine) today, magana's (mah-gone-yuh) family searched several cities in the north bay for him... kron four's philippe djegal takes us to the search... home. felix come home." 21-year-old felix magana (muh-gone-yuh) is one of five brothers. all of them joining the search party, focusing on the san rafael transit center... where he was last seen monday morning. jose vasquez/brother- "he just said he was going to go out for a walk and never came back." felix lives in santa rosa, doesn't drive or have a bike. only a skateboard... his brothers say he's been struggling with mental health issues... and, they don't suspect foul play in his disappearance. antonio vasquez/brother- "he might have not taken his pills. he just had a mental breakdown." the family also searched novato and san francisco. the san rafael police department is aware felix was last seen in their city... but at this point, he can be anywhere.ljose vasquez/brother- "i miss him, we're trying to have him home. we all miss hi" felix stands six-feet two-inches tall... with brown hair and brown eyes. he was last seen wearing a brown windbreaker... blue jeans and a tan golden state warriors hat.antonio vasquez/brother- "i hope he's somewhere safe, but i kind of have a bad feeling he did something, but we'll just leave that feeling alone." the family vows to continue looking for felix until he

(justine) people are coming together tonight to support immigrant communities in the bay area. the san francisco chapter of "project by project" is hosting a fundraising event right now. (jr stone) all the proceeds will go directly to a local non profit which serves low income refugees and immigrants. kron 4's gayle ong is live at the event for us tonight,gayle. rs) homelessness is an issue across the country -- and especially here in san francisco. this week -- a local non profit is working to bridge the divide between the city's "housed" and "unhoused" through an art installation in hayes valley.(justine) visitors can listen to the stories of homeless people in different neighborhoods -- with the hopes of understanding their struggles. kron4's michelle kingston visited the exhibit today and joins us live with more. (michelle)a number of people were interviewed ... told their stories ... and now you can listen to them through an augmented reality. (jrs) san francisco's building department has decided not to restrict access to the troubled millennium tower.. as you may be aware of, the millennium is already leaning and sinking... and recently cracked glass was discovered. the decision not to 'yellow tag' the building ... came in an email to the homeowners association ... saying the building department was reviewing the h-o-a's letter and will respond early next week. but will not take any immediate enforcement action, unless the situation changes.sot tom miller/homeowners association attorney 22-27"that's a very big deal and alleviated a lot

of anxiety with thehomeowners themselves" (jrs) homeowners association attorney tom miller .... thinks the city backed off, because of steps the h-o-a took in the last 24- hours. among them.... taping up the cracked window on the 36th floor of the tower... and extending the scaffolding to protect pedestrians should there be any falling glass. the homeowners association will inspect the cracked window on monday. (justine) affordable housing is in short supply in almost every bay area community...and walnut creek is no exception. and, as kron four's philippe djegal reports...there is a senior living community that has a lot of applicants -- for just a few spots. (philippe) by the early afternoon... several dozen seniors had applied or inquired about applying for affordable housing in-person and online at montego place senior apartments in walnut creek.maggie/applicant- "it's v ery frustrating." some applicants say they're applying everywhere for apartments that offer 100- percent affordable housing units like montego place... but with little luck, because

of the stiff competition. maggie/applicant- "from walnut creek to concord now to pittsburg." affordable means tenants pay no more than 30-percent of their annual income on rent. in order to qualify, a single person must make below 40-thousand 700-dollars. applications are being accepted for the next week. before the waiting list for consideration is narrowed down to 30.mary paris/resident- "took me two and a half years." 91-year-old mary paris has lived here for 15 years now... she likes the proximity to hospitals and public transportation. and, feels the frustration others are experiencing in desperate search for housing.mary paris/resident- "sometimes we pass away. other times, they find an opening someplace else, so the list, you know, is open. you just have to be patient." which for some is easier said then done. maggie/applicant- "could be four, five, six, seven years. yeah, i don't even know if i'm alive then." before the summer, the city of walnut creek stated 560 affordable housing units were available with more than 140 others currently being built or are in the pipeline. in walnut

"this is what parks our all about community and laugher this is a really really good thing to do."(justine) the san (justine) the san (justine) the san francisco recreation and park commission unanimously approved the renaming the site to "robin williams meadow" in december of 2017. he died in august of 2014.

"liftoff of the final delta 2" (jrs) today nasa launched a monitoring device they are calling: ice-sat-2 -- which stands for ice, cloud, and land elevation satellite. the satellite will provide critical observations of earth's changing ice sheets, glaciers, and sea ice to measure the height of earth's ice. scientists want to see how fast polar ice is melting and what areas are seeing the biggest losses. it is said to be nasa's most advanced laser instrument of its kind. the launch happened around 9 am eastern time saturday from vandenberg air force base. (justine) sacramento (justine) sacramento police released several minutes of video from the night officers shot and killed a 19-year-old man earlier this month. they say he had a b-b gun that looked like a real one.(jr stone) critics point out that gun is not visible in any of the videos. sonsee-ahray tonsall reports. his hood and mask are obvious. what isn't clearly visible in newly released sacramento police department video of their killing of darell richards is the most dangerous alleged element of their encounter with him:his gun. natsot/caller"ma'am, this guy got the gun in his hand."911 callers referenced it when they made the report that started the almost four hour pursuit ending with the end of richards' life at a curtis park home.officers who

followed him from broadway to first avenue say the gun they saw was used to threaten at least three people before it was turned on them while the 19-year-old was under a stairwell, producing this result.natsot"show me your hands. put the gun down." we have tried to prepare for this worst-case scenario. we do believe that there will be a worst-case scenario. (justine) at least 11 people have died from now tropical storm florence. president donald trump approved a disaster declaration for eight north carolina counties impacted the storm.....(jrs) the move makes federal money available for housing, home repairs, and other necessities. the 11 deaths have been linked to florence in north and south carolina. meteorologists say 40 inches of rain could fall in some areas before it's all said and done. in hard-hit new bern, hundreds have been rescued from flood waters. so right now, we've rescued over 400 people. we still have about a hundred that want to be rescued and we are -- we have about 1200

people in the shelters in clayton county.shelters in clayton county.tracy jackson/cumberland county emergency services interim director: "we are ordering a mandatory evacuation. the city and county have done this in coordination with one another. and we would have not done this unless it was in our estimation, a serious life- threatening situation." a main issue is that the hotel employees say they don't make a livable wage here...now several months into the bargaining they are ready to strike ...saying one job should be enough. bull horns and pickett signs are stacking up in the office of union here local 2 that's representing 2500 marriott employees across san francisco who are ready to strike...they voted this week to do so for the first time...saying the international business is more than capable of raising their wages so they can afford to live and work in the bay area. sot: anand singh, president united here local 2// "marriott now is the largest hotel employer in this city.

they can certainly afford to do better than they put across the table and so workers took a we're serious about the potential about walking out on strike."on top of more pay union here local 2 are fighting for workplace safety, noting alleged sexual assault reports from housekeepers... and to do away with the green choice program which they say has added more strenuous labor. the program is promoted by marriott as a means to help the environment and cut back on cleaning and laundry per guest, but hotel maids say they end up using more water, chemicals, and are putting in more work at the end of a stay to catch up.marriott international releaesed a statement saying "through many years of working with unite here, we have always taken the negotiation process seriously and reached agreements. we have no reason to believe that this negotiation process will be any different. we respect the right of our associates to voice their opinions on issues that are important to them. should the union and our employees choose to strike, our hotels will continue to operate and work to minimize any disruption and to provide the excellent service that our guest have come to expect."- marriott international this this annoucement comes at the heels of what the union says is conference season which could be used as leverage to put the pressure on marriott. live in san

(justine) a shooting rampage left six people dead. new court documents reveal what may have been the tipping point for the alleged killer in bakersfield.

(justine) investigators are still trying to determine why a man went on a deadly rampage in bakersfield. killing his ex-wife and four others before turning the gun on himself.(jrs) but we are now learning about the couple's divorce, which the gunman's former wife seeked to re-open. olivia lavoice reports ... javier casarez and petra bolanos were married for over 28 years married for over 28 years when he filed for divorce in december.there was no arguing over assets or children, no attorneys were involved.javier told the court he and his then wife petra had worked out child custody and alimony on their own.the

marriage was dissolved by the court in june.this was around the time that according to court documents-javier kicked petra out of their home and cut her off financially.court documents say this is what pushed petra to ask a family member for help with translating the divorce proceedings, as she said she couldn't read english.it seems that's when it clicked-petra realized her husband had left her with nothing: no child or spousal support, and no property.so on august 31st, after saving up money to get legal help, she filed a motion begging the judge to give her the chance to oppose the divorce proceedings,even though their divorce was already finalized.she said javier had never told her about their prior hearing and that he intercepted her mail. she said that's why she didn't oppose earlier rulings. petra said despite what javier filed with the court- she does needs child support, spousal support, and full ownership of the family home- requesting that javier move out, so she and their young daughter can move back in. in her own words petra said

be an exciting one. the team took will be taking on the detroit lions. i saw several lions fans in san francisco on saturday. both the niners and the lions are looking for their first win of the season. jimmy garoppolo on one side of things and matthew stafford on the other. jimmy g is going against a lions pass defense that was bottom five in the nfl last year. a defense that got left in the dust last weekend against rookie weekend against rookie quarterback sam darnold and the jets. here's something to watch. the 49ers red zone offense. last week they scored just one touchdown in four tries when they came close to the goaline. all in all if they play well they should be okay here. as for the raiders. they will go up against the denver broncos tomorrow afternoon. they've got something to prove as well. last week the raiders lost 33 to 13 after being tied with the rams in the third quarter. yes, i'd say the fourth quarter didn't go so well. derek carr needs to find amari cooper in this

(justine) we have breaking news for you as we follow tropical storm florence.(jrs) two more people have now died due to the impacts of the deadly storm. this brings the total to 13 people who have lost their lives. the slow moving storm is pounding the north and south carolina coast. we will have more on this report on kron4

(justine) today is international red panda day-- and in timely fashion, the milwaukee county zoo is announcing its newest adorable addition. a baby red panda was born there june sixth. the female cub was just six ounces at birth... and now weighs about five pounds. these animals are endangered... making every birth cause for celebration. if you want to see this sweet girl, she'll be making her public debut in a few weeks. she doesn't have a name yet-- but zoo officials promise to name her soon.
