cars for hours. >> chief meteorologist lawrence karnow with us now tracking the conditions. they're you know, 8 to 16 inches is a lot. but for this year testing it sound like much. yeah, i know really. it's been just an incredible year. i think you're going to see more than that. i think they're going to see upwards of 2, maybe 4 feet of snow above 4,000 feet. that as the storm system comes on shore. so it's going to be adding to some pretty incredible tolls right now. you see the cars kind of racing by things are open. they're now on 80 50, but it could be a whole different story. i think as we get in toward tomorrow as that snow begins to move in a fact, we're beginning to see a few snow showers begin to push across parts of the 80 there, but more that all the way, it's going to be intense and the winds are going to be whipping up. and that's what's going to be dangerous. you can get a white out conditions. i think at times as we head through the day tomorrow as that front pulls 2 very gusty winds across the crest of the sierra nevada and all that heavy snow, dangerous travel conditions up there. expect some major delays if you're
8:48 pm
heading that direction. that winter storm warning continuing until 11 o'clock tomorrow night. so looks like the snow is going to stick around to even on wednesday. we're looking to some more snow showers, kitchen, maybe a little bit of a break on thursday. but you know what? they've got more coming after that around the bay area. we're going to see a lot of rain out there. wanted to give you a look at some of the totals out there. maybe more than an inch, maybe more than an inch and a half of the san francisco. you get across some of the mountains, i think especially in the north bay, maybe 2 to 3, maybe even 4 inches of rain in some spots. so it is going to be a wet storm. it is going to be a windy storm. doesn't look as windy as it did last week but still windy enough likely to see some power outages and trees coming down highs only in the 50's next few days. that rain is on. we dry things out on thursday and friday. another chance of rain. this coming weekend. >> and now kron 4 sports. >> the nfl owners meeting began today in arizona and we've got a lot of clarity on that niners, murky quarterback situation. john lynch
8:49 pm
basically told us that. >> when everyone is healthy wrap party gets the roads being is we won't know for sure when he will be healthy. the niners are hoping it will be before training camp. but as we know, everybody's body heals differently. and at a different rate now, most people assume brock would get the chance to start given his success last year. but it was interesting to hear john lynch come out and say take a listen. >> brock has earned the right with the way he played that he's probably the leader in the clubhouse at that. you know, it kind of make those kind of decisions. but i know when we talk, i think brooks probably earned their right to be that guy. the guy, if we were all i he probably take that first. and but our hope is he's ready to go in training camp. we'll see how everything goes from. we're going to do what's right for brock because that's right for our organization, you know, to be aggressive with what we do. but bus will be really smart. and, you know, we were insulated with other guys that we have a lot of belief. so brooks now ready hold it, hold down the fort until he thinks,
8:50 pm
oh, yes. >> the does have had a few really bad losses this year. when i say a bad loss. i mean, one of those cells that absolutely should not have happened take last night. for example, the warriors we're up to with the ball with under a minute left and then. that shot by jordan poole. now let's fast-forward up possession later. the does get the ball back. 27 seconds left. draymond green turned the ball over karl anthony drills the 3. that was about all she wrote now, despite the execution issues last night, steph knows that the warriors are capable and their confidence will not waver. >> as of late, we have homes. we want a couple big ones were then seen that we had any life and found a way to come back. you know, with huge run down the stretch obviously our road struggles have a kin in
8:51 pm
dallas. that game now. so i said, i know we've been in that situation plant either. and here we did execute didn't take advantage of opportunities motion we could have. but our confidence in what we're able to do shouldn't take know, because we were capable, you know. >> the stanford women season ended sooner than anyone could have expected. but they haven't slowed down the cardinal players from being recognized today. cameron brink was named the wbca defensive player of the year. frank average, 10 rebounds and 3 and a half blocks per game to go along with 15 points per game. of course she will be back next year. she was just a junior and brandon crawford. he has been named a 2023, lou gehrig award winner. this award goes to the player who best exemplifies the given character of hall of famer lou gehrig. as we know, brandon is a bay area. boy who takes great pride being a giant and representing the bay area. he's the 3rd member of the giants to win the award. barry zito one in buster posey back
