station. this is. 11. now at 11 customers looking to dine in for dinner being turned away as another food chain closes its dining room in oakland. what we know so far good evening and thank you for joining us for kron. 4 news, 11. i'm dan thorn. taco bell has closed its indoor dining rooms at multiple locations in oakland. and we're told that people can only order from the drive-thru, which has some

customers frustrated. kron four's. sara stinson joins us live in studio tonight with more on what may have sparked this change. sarah. >> we stopped by to bell locations in oakland, both with signs out front saying their dining rooms are closed. we haven't been a given an exact reason why this has happened. but other fast food chains have taken similar measures because of crime taco bell employees say this might be the case because they've had trouble inside that restaurant. >> in the window of taco bell on 35th avenue in oakland. large signs telling customers that the dining room is now closed. the same could be seen at this location on heggen berger. road customers are being forced to order food through the drive-thru. even this person who didn't have a car tried to order from the window because they weren't allowed inside. people who go to talk about all the time say they're frustrated by this change people who are on the bus. instead they came. they don't allow walk-ups. >> yes, not cool for people to not be able to go through. the

drive-thru going to the dining room. only have to go to the jack to a taco bell employee telling kron 4 the restaurant has had to do this because people have been causing trouble inside. taco bell is not the first oakland restaurant to close off indoor dining raising canes on edgewater drive also shut down its dining room last year. fried chicken chain said it was because of crime and in and out announced it's closing its oakland location after 18 years of business citing issues of ongoing and we've got a whole bunch of this is just just 1000 just because they're not safe. >> know what it is. but she got to change >> but not all taco bell customers understand this change. one customer telling us they've always felt safe going to the restaurant that added around places, though, you know, the wrong time day. >> but other than >> we reached out to talk about corporate to ask how many locations have closed dining rooms in oakland is the specific to oakland and the

exact reason for the closure. but we did not hear back in time for this report. i'm sara stinson reporting back to you. >> all right, sharon, thanks a lot. oakland police are investigating after a san francisco man was found shot to death. police say they were alerted to the shooting last night on east 17th street. but the victim was 14th avenue. the man's identity is being withheld at this time. no arrests have been made. concord police arrest 2 people issue several citations and tow 3 cars in a reckless driving crackdown. officers say in one case a driver was chased and arrested in fairfield after speeding away from a traffic stop. police also broke up a sideshow in pleasant hill where thousands of dollars in damage was done in a private parking lot. police are reminding people that cars can be seized for up to 30 days for reckless driving. it may also cost up to 3,000 bucks to get your car back. police arrest a woman in vallejo after she steals a van and dragged the car detailer 20 feet. investigators say the

carjacking happened last tuesday when the detailer was cleaning a customers. toyota sienna. and that's when a woman who did not own the van then jumped into the cna, which still had the keys in the ignition and took off the carjacker, then dragged the detailer 20 feet before she eventually surrendered to police. the van was later returned to its owner. as for that car detailer, they suffered only minor injuries. in the north bay. 2 teens are charged with carrying loaded guns outside of a motel 6 in santa rosa. police say they were patrolling the area on cleveland avenue when they saw a number of teens standing outside of a room after a search they found these weapons. the teens were charged with carrying a loaded gun in a public place and carrying a concealed weapon. chp is investigating after a man was shot while driving on the bay bridge. this happened last night. the eastbound directing close in 4 lanes around for around 2 hours. a lot of traffic in that area last night. investigators say the victim's car was hit with

multiple bullets. one of those rounds striking the man he was later taken to hospital to be treated. police are still searching for the shooter. san francisco supervisor ahsha ease proposing a to revive a program that pays roundhouse people to travel back to their hometown. homeward bound program was started in 2005 initiated by governor newsom when he was the mayor of san francisco. the program provides people with travel and relocation assistance. the goal is to reunite 1000 people l with their families each year supervisor south. it says in recent years the program has only assisted less than 300 people. >> this pushed it was highlighted. it was part of the tool kit. it's been sidelined for the last 4, 5 years under this administration are bringing him back. we're implementing in a very fair and effective way. and i think that way you're going to see more

month. when it's all over, they're going to celebrate another holiday coming up next. and then children on that day will get a lot of new gifts and some new clothing. let's get your check your 4 zone forecast tonight. taking a live look at sfo. we know the rain start to move in through the region. gayle ong joining us with a look at the forecast to go. >> yes, rain is starting to make its way. it's it came from the north bay. now it's heading down to towards a san francisco and moving southeast. so you can expect to see some raindrops tonight. and i believe starting to see some in san francisco as we speak. so here's our satellite and radar to show you exactly what is going on. you can see this band of showers making its way to the bay area. this is mainly an overnight event, evening event. so right now san francisco is getting some rain. and as a zoom on in, it's coming from the north bay. fairfax remains to see the heaviest downpour tonight. and here's the future cast model so midnight. we're going to be raining towards the east bay. you can see that yellow sell their that be moving

towards oakland and fremont and then it starts to taper off by the overnight hours. and then monday morning's commute looks dry. you can expect a similar pattern for monday night into tuesday. so you can see this is lunchtime monday and then monday at dinner time that rain come through in the overnight hours. so this is tuesday overnight and then the commute tuesday looks cloudy. but we look dry for the day and then we dry out for the rest of the week. this is wednesday. we are going to see some nice sunshine spring is coming. so here's the projected rain totals. it looks like it's scaled back now. it was almost half an inch about an hour ago. these models tend to change here and there. so we'll see what verifies. but we can at least say at least a quarter of an inch to half an inch for the north bay over the next few days. and as speaking of the cra here, we have a winter weather advisory that's posted until tuesday, 05:00pm. so this is part of your travel here. they're expecting some moderate snow. so just bring those chains. if you're heading out to the mountains, you can see the forecast here tuesday. is that
