protesters chain themselves to 6 concrete filled. 55 gallon drums that wait almost 300 pounds each and then they were blocking northbound 8.80. the chp did arrest 7 of those people. and these pro-palestinian protests happening all across the country today will go to what happened in chicago as traffic heading towards o'hare international airport is now resuming after a protest all lanes of the interstate there shut down. so we're looking now at some chopper video of the backup and the shutdown. so people are just trying to get to the airport today. and these pro-palestinian protesters blocked the ramp towards the domestic terminals. the protests. in response to asking for demand to an immediate and permanent cease-fire in gaza. passengers who are trying to get to o'hare to catch their flights, forced to abandon their vehicles, maybe get out of a taxi or uber there and start walking with their luggage towards the airport. o hare

we'll talk about a forecast on this sunny monday wide. look here at the city of san francisco. kyle is tracking what's happening for us today. yeah, skies are improving. beautiful day out there as we start to see that sunshine role. and we're taking a live look right now. downtown san francisco. >> brees is rather light. we're going to be under the influence of high pressure this week and that means we're going to start to see things warm up and we should get a lot of sunshine on the way here. you can certainly see. that's what's happening as we take a look at stormtracker 4 now. some clouds going pushed way off shore. 68 in san jose. 65 in concord, where 59 in downtown san francisco about 64 in napa. so still a little cooler than we should be seasonally. but compared to yesterday when it was very chilly, you know, in some spots where 8, 9, degrees warmer than we were this time yesterday. so a step in the right direction. but as we go through the next couple of days, you're going to notice not only will we have blue skies like you're seeing here at half moon bay, but we're going to see those temperatures really pick up. so tomorrow will be kind of the beginning of this warm up
3:11 pm
where we go above average. then we head into wednesday. you can see our inland spots looking out for, you know, upper 70's, low 80's while around the bay 70's and same story on thursday. now, on the other side of that, we do cool down a bit. however, i do have some good news when it comes to the weekend forecast and i'll be back in a little bit. we're going to talk more about that. all right. and coming up here as well, we have new details on the investigation that was just launched into the baltimore bridge collapse. >> plus. >> president donald trump started trial in new york today for an alleged hush money scheme. i'm hannah brandt in washington. i'll have that story coming up.

3:18 pm
look forward to. and hey, here's something else look forward to. the traffic on the golden gate bridge is running just fine. right now. temperatures are rebounding a little bit. we are going to be a little bit cooler than average in most spots today. lee can see san jose now up to about 68 degrees. obviously it will cool here in san francisco about 57 but here's why we're going to see a change in the forecast. high pressure is going to start building. and when that ridge happens, we get warmer temperatures and more sunshine. so as we get later into the week, you'll see that it will start to get more zonal, meeting it flattens out. these are the iso thurmes that indicate temperature and that's when you start to see things cool a little bit on thursday and friday. so live look from the east bay showing you that we're having a some pretty nice blue skies that are out there. and as we look at livermore is an example where the average high this time of year be about 69. we're getting close to it today. surpass it tomorrow. really kind of go well above it as we get into our wednesday and thursday and then we'll come back down to earth as we head towards the weekend. but remember, the average is 69. so that will still put a sad, you know, above average temperatures as
3:19 pm
we head towards the weekend. we're not the only ones you can see where read. you can start to see the next couple of days are going to be very warm for most spots. and again, as i mentioned, we're going to be going above average here on the west coast as well. so what does that mean? that means tomorrow, all of these 60's inland are going to your place to buy 70's. and you start to see even around the bay itself. we have potential to get into that 70 degree mark. while san francisco be looking for about 60 for tomorrow. so obviously a difference is afoot. here's the high pressure. you can start to see that ridge, albeit, you know, little far away from us. still, that is going to be the thing that building kind of influences our weather. so right now looking good. we've got some of those nice clear skies that are out there. we're going keep that as we roll through the week. you see a few clouds rolling in on wednesday and thursday, but nothing nothing to, you know, dramatic were actually pretty quiet here as we head into next weekend. it won't be until the following week that we start to cool down yet again. back to you. kyla. we've learned 2 people have died after being shot an
