their season. will be over. i don't want to say but let's think about a win that would extend their season and give them. >> another do or die game later this week against a different team. we have team coverage of the big game for sports reporter aaron wilson is outside chase where dubs fans are supporting their team from homebase. first, though, want to go to kron. 4 sports director jason dumas in sacramento. jason, this is not where steph klay and re typically find themselves battling just to get into the playoffs. but here we are. >> grant really here we are. once again, it feels like deja just a year ago. we are here in this same position back in sacramento elimination game with the warriors playing with their season on the line and to be more specific. it was last april on the 30th. the warriors were playing here in a game 7 at the golden one center. now, the journey last
5:17 pm
year to that point in the journey this year to this point might be a little different. but the feelings are all the same grant like you said the warriors have made no secret about it. they do not want to be here right now. they did not expect to be in the 10 seat. they did expect to be playing in the play-in tournament, but unfortunately, that is reality. now, last year the warriors had a chance to wrap up this series with the kings in 6 games at chase center. but they dropped the ball and they had to come back to sacramento with absolutely no momentum in getting themselves out of a very, very bad predicament. they were able to do so. so i asked curry yesterday after their practice. what does he remember about that sunday afternoon in sacramento? game 7 and what can he battle up from those feelings of last year to help them to >> it was says urgency, obviously just understand. we're in pretty good shape. coming back from sacramento,

win in game 5. they took it to us in game 6 and we got embarrassed on our home floor. and as a matter of how you respond at that point. and >> just an understanding of whatever it took to bring the rain energy that to a game, 7 performance. i talked about my numbers everybody you know, and and like playing physical play with desperation. and we have to have that same type of mentality tomorrow. kind of ironic just everything that was built up to that game 7. this is game, 7 type of environment in the same boat. so we've got do it again. >> now i know we'll hear from aaron outside of thrive city in a couple minutes. but outside the golden one center, they are ready to go is already filling up out there. they're loud. they're rowdy. we know they don't like the warriors. we know they don't like the warriors fans out
5:19 pm
here in sacramento. of course, you've got the regional rivalry so they'll be ready to go. and the players i spoke with before the game today and yesterday after practice all let me know, hey, we know is going to be around and we know they have a great crowd. the kings don't really lose all that much here at home. so the warriors have their work cut out for them. as far as the game know, gary payton, the second, he will not play today. and if the warriors are fortunate enough to win, he probably won't play on friday. still dealing with that calf injury. that's huge because gp 2 would be the guy guarding de'aaron fox but no excuses, especially when you're led by steph klay and draymond. they will have to find a way and we will have continuing coverage up to tip off. but for now, inside the golden one center on jason dumas, grant noel. >> should be allowed one of fun, one, everything's on the line. so that should bring out the best everybody. hopefully, jason, thanks. we'll be back to you throughout the night. >> definitely a some fans who didn't get the chance to travel up north are still
5:20 pm
supporting the worriers there thrive city. at chase center tonight. yeah, that's where we find kron. 4 sports reporter aaron wilson. aaron, how are things? well, great know. will you know that saying those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it? >> that's kind of where the warriors find themselves right now repeating where they were last season in a do or die game in sacramento where they're going to have to be in the arena with a loud, loud, sacramento, famed crowd. now that being said, hopefully they'll be able to hear the fans here from thrive city because they're definitely making their way it's a little bit harder to get in thrive city this time around, which is why you find me a little bit outside of drive city, at least for now. we'll be inside for the 6, but they have the metal detectors set up and they have everyone getting checked going through security before they let everyone in because i'm sure that they anticipate a large crowd as everyone waiting to see what the warriors do, hoping that they get over sacramento kings i'm missing a couple players
5:21 pm
today. so this was should go in the warriors favorite. don't know if you can hear them, but it's a few warriors chance getting started here with the fans. if we can pay in just a little bit. so you can see the line that sitting up here at thrive city as they wait to be let it in time enough for the game to be able to watch their team on the jumbotron right out here outside of chase. in an obviously no one is hoping to see the warriors go home for good tonight and they have a good chance to come out on top over the sacramento kings. but you can bet that there will be a and rowdy warriors dubnation crowd out here waiting for the warriors to get that win. and then of course, push on to say who they will play between the la lakers and the new orleans pelicans that will give you a full update. hopefully we have some live interviews out here with some they can speak appropriately about the warriors tonight. out here tonight at 6, a print out the back to you guys in the studio as we get geared up and get in before the game here at thrive city. you guys? well, it sounds like they were already starting to chant and whatnot out there. but you're right. hopefully you can speak
5:22 pm
appropriately. >> and you've got bring speak appropriately. thank you, thanks, erin. >> taking a live look there at the bay bridge toll plaza. not too many cars out right still nice and sunny, though. that's for sure. >> yeah. smooth sailing. if you're coming in to thrive to watch the game, there may be and the weather has just been delightful. arts is here to speak appropriately about the weather. yeah, you know, and they may be is hunkered around their tv's right now. get ready to go for the big game. one game. can you believe that? >> you got to win this one tonight. that's for sure. well, out the door today, we've had a lot of sunshine. we doubt have a couple patches of fog coast side early on. that managed to break up a bit little hazy out over the bay right now looking down from mount tam cam can see all the way across the bridge right now. but our quality so far is actually looking pretty good year on the green right now, just where we want to see it all across the board, even extending into the central valley. and even as high pressure builds in this that time of year, you start to see a change in the atmosphere. high pressure starts to build
5:23 pm
and get less. when the less mixing in the atmosphere. lot of times you get a lot of developing down below. but so far, so good as we head in toward tomorrow, their quality again, good all across the board from the coastline, the east bay, the south bay and the north bay. you're looking great with air quality. the breeze. yeah, we have some of that today. we've seen the return that sea breeze that will eventually kerry little fog overnight tonight inside the bay, of course, along the coastline. as you head through time tonight, though, you'll notice those clouds gathered, even a couple high clouds up above. but you can see that onshore breeze just beginning to move into this bay. and with that, that will carry some fog. but overall, high pressure still taking care of that ridge and control couple systems off the coastline. they're going to fall. the jetstream that jet stream stay north of the bay area. that high pressure just kind of settles in. so as that happens, we'll see a little more northerly component to the wind. and that's going to be just enough to crank up the temperatures. how about some 80's, the warm spots inland by tomorrow afternoon. lots of 70's in and around the bay. little cooler coast side. but pleasant temperatures there in the 60's with a couple of patches of fog. thank you,
