>> or some commonsense. let's start there. something described as a little love tap packed quite a punch when you see this video from the waters off the coast of maui. people doing whale watching on a canoe. >> oh. >> that's a humpback whale coming out of the water, breaking the surface, bumping their boat. watch it again. you can see the guy at front of the canoe, he gets airborne. >> whoa! he got in touch with the guy who posted this video, he said they were going whale watching, when they were on shore they were seeing a bunch of whales off in the distance. by the time they got out there, they weren't seeing anything. i think they got their money's worth. they got an up close and personal encounter with one of these giant animals. >> oh, my -- wow. >> he said the whale completely blind-sided them. he couldn't believe he was able to hold on to his camera.

>> if you are going out there to see whales, you have the possibility of getting love tapped, if you want to call it that, by one. >> the paddlers were uninjured. the whale was uninjured, too. some people on youtube say laws say you are supposed to stay far away from these animals, but they say they were with professionals and knew the laws. you can't help it when the thing comes up and hits the bottom of your boat. some frightening moments captured in this video has people in australia outraged this is on a very busy five-lane highway. you see a woman pushing a stroller. but then look who comes up running after her? it's a child. the light turns green, and the cars start going.

that white car in the front barely misses that woman with the child. and that kid is left to maneuver and weave through this moving traffic. >> this video was caught by a tow truck driver. we know nothing about who this woman is. the woman pushing the stroller is believed to be this child's mother. people are outraged at the woman because they believe she basically abandoned this child to fend for himself in this very dangerous situation. one of the people particularly enraged by this incident is news talk radio host neil mitchell. >> unbelievably, inexcusably stupid. a little boy, probably 5 years old, left in the middle of road dodging cars on a five-lane highway. >> neil also talked to the truck driver that caught this video. >> it could have ended up with three deaths right then and there. it was amazing to watch it there's nothing you can do about it. just to watch that is

horrifying. >> i think you have to put some onus on the drivers as well. they see people in the crosswalk, wait five seconds. >> but the child is also really small. if you're over here looking at this woman who just made it across and not paying attention to the fact there's a little person also coming through, you may just completely have missed it. >> it does look like this crosswalk is at a bit of an angle. so this child is coming from their left side behind and in front. i'm sure they were met with a bit of a surprise. take a look at this terrifying scene caught on camera in the persian gulf. you're looking at a gas platform as it is being sucked, basically, more than 260 feet below the ocean surface. >> that thing is going down really fast. >> and there are workers still on this glass platform scrambling, trying to get off, trying to save themselves, trying to hang on to anything

they can. >> reports say this was a $40 milli million gas platform. reports also say a crane broke during installation of this platform and that's what caused the actual sinking. >> this is something that was under construction? that wasn't in action? >> are conflicting reports. some reports say this gas platform had been in construction for nearly three years, but it only took about ten seconds for it to go under water. a state-run oil company is asking for foreign aid in helping to recover this platform. they're wanting to bring it back up. >> do you know if anyone was injured or died? >> that's a great question, but iran has not commented on any injuries or fatalities. >> obviously this is taken from a ship. i'm glad there was a ship there to help them out. >> from this video, it looks like the men who are on the structure are all still on the surface of the water once this goes under water. so you hope the ship is so close

the vastness of the internet is filled with people getting
