investigating a tour bus crash in new castle county that's now claimed two lives. >> it happened yesterday afternoon, on the route one off ramp headed toward route 13 north, in now castle. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo joins us now, at christianna hospital in newark with the latest information. january? erika, ukee, we've now learned, that overnight, a second woman has died, meaning two women have lost their lives, because of this bus crash, and dozens of others remain in the hospital this morning. this, as police continue to investigate and try to find out some answers to questions, how did this happen, and could this have been prevented. a terrible scene on the side of the road in new castle, delaware. crushed metal, shattered glass, passengers clothes covering windows, a scene no one was prepared to experience. >> everyone in so much pain, just calling out for their loved ones, and, a lot of them, so frantic. >> elvis cruz drove past the crash, just after it happened.

and jumped out to help. >> their wound are just so -- almost like from a war zone, so everyone so cut up, missing bits and pieces of arm and face, and there was no one on the scene without blood on them except for me. >> once first responders arrived, he snapped these heart wrenching pictures, police say, 50 people were aboard this tour bus. it was returning from a three day sightseeing tour, rounds trip from new york city to washington, d.c., and back. the crash happened here, around 4:30 yesterday, on the route one off ramp to us13 north. police say the 56 year old bus driver from flushing new york, was driving around the curve when the bus left the road, and overturned, onto its roof. the bus then continued to slide down the embankment, until it finally fell to rest on one side. police say the bus driver was properly restrained, and only suffered minor injuries, but a 54 year old woman from new york city, qii chen was pinned under the bus and died on the scene, and another from turkey transport today christianna

hospital where she later died. up to five others were transport in the critical condition. we're told two children were aboard, as well. >> as for charges, police say, charges are pending the outcome of this investigation. reporting live outside of christianna hospital, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". jan, thank you. police are investigating triple shooting overnight, in philadelphia's kingsessing section. two of those victims were shot while outside, grilling on their front porch. police say a total of 21 shots were fired, two victims remain in critical condition. investigators spoke with witnesses, hoping to id the shooters. there is no word right now on a motive, this morning. a 19 year old suspect is hospitalized, in critical condition this morning, after an officer-involved shooting in west philadelphia. police responded to the scene on the 5600 block of media street, in carol park, just

after 9:00 last night. now, that's when investigators say, witnesses called 911, reporting a man with a gun walking down the street. >> officers responded immediately to the assignment, and they saw a male fitting the deaths have i. description, gun in his hand. very good chance he was about to do something with the gun. people don't normally walk the streets with a gun in their hands. >> authorities say the officers fired, after the suspect month dollars the weapon toward them. police recovered that weapon at the scene, and the shooting is still under investigation. right now, 03:00, we want our traffic and weather together. katie is out of the skydeck with the jacket, i see? >> yes, i actually broke it out, i believe, for the first time when you were on vacation, erika, very, very big moment. but now, you know, starting to become little more normal. i think on day-to-day for so many us, while the weekends actually nice and warm, i'm sure you all enjoyed that, now starting to get back to little bit more of the fall like routine. here's y while storm scan3 may be empty, we did through the overnight actually have frontal boundary roll on through, very much with the time that we expected it,

everyone, we are starting to see some of those rush hour delays, sort of pop up in areas, not so much in the 30 bypass, the 30 bypass around 340, but speed censors dropping on part of the schuylkill. in the 50's, now at 39. if you are traveling on 95, now we're at 24. if you are headed in the southbound direction, out of far northeast philadelphia, down through the vine st. expressway, lent of the delay. fifty-five however still on 476, and no major delays on the pa turnpike of 422, but watch out for this accident here west chester, market street at westtown road. erika? >> thank you, the man seen with a university of virginia student before she disappeared has been charged now with wreckless driving. eighteen year old hannah graham was last seen on september 13th. jesse matthews is a person of interest. police say saturday he drove away from the charlottesville police station at a high rate of speed, and endangering others drivers. police searched matthews car and apartment and they're awaiting forensic tests. meantime hanna's parent head news conference to thank

good morning, developing overnight, a second person has died after a tour bus crash in northern delaware. it is now up to the national transportation safety board, to determine how it happened. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo, joins us now, christianna hospital in newark, with the latest information. jan? >> erika, two women are dead, and dozens of others remain in the hospital this morning, because of this crash, a lot is still unknown, but we are learning more information this morning, about the bus. we've now learned, that it was on a three day sightseeing tour, it left from new york city friday, and was returning from washington, d.c., yesterday afternoon. now, here is where it happened. this accident, happening right around 4:30 in the afternoon, on the route one off ramp to us13 north, new castle.

police say the 56 year old bus driver, from flushing new york, was driving around the curve of the ramp when the bus left the road, and then overturned, on to the roof. the bus then continued to slide on its roof, down the embankment, until it finally fell to rest on one of its sides, police say the bus driver properly restrained, only suffered minor injuries, bub 49 passengers aboard this tour bus, as well. fifty-four year old woman from new york city, hui chen, pinned under the bus and died on scene, and 30 year old woman from is tan bull, turkey, where she later died. all of the others were transported it local hospitals. police say up to five were transport in the critical condition, and we're toll there were at least two children on board, as well. first responders encountered terrible scene, with those scattered throughout the crash scene. missing bits and pieces of arm and face, no one on the scene without blood on themself for me. >> reporter: and police tell us this tour bus is only by amusa express, based out of new york city's "eyewitness news" has trained to reach out to the company for comment. so far no word yet this morning. in the meantime, police say, any charges are pending the outcome of this investigation. we're liver outside christianna hospital. jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> jan, thank you. learning more about deadly accident in northeastern pennsylvania, that left five people dead, including four children. according to police, those children were not in booster seats, or wearing seatbelts. investigators tell us, that destiny watson driving with the unrestrained children, when she tried speeding past another car. she was among those killed. that accident is still under investigation. police in newark, delaware, are looking for a man accused of starting two

apartment fires. take a look at these surveillance pictures right here. police say this man, intentionally, set a small fire, and an apartment stove on the 100 block of victoria court friday. while investigate that fire, a similar fire broke out at nearby apartment. no one was hurt in either blaze. all right, right now, just past 6:33, we want to check in with katie with our forecast. >> overall nice one for our area. we are seeing little bit of transition take place for us right now. here in the delaware valley, courtesy of cold front that came through last night, unless were you out in it, you probably completely missed this happening. we had couple of raindrops that came through, very quickly, late last night, and now the front long gone. it made a speedy re street. but we are still seeing sort of delayed reaction here in the wake of the system, so under clearing sky, the temperatures have yet to really start dropping off, see looking at middle township high school, view from it, overlooking the genesis bay here in cape may count howls.
