meteorologist, chelsey ingram for the latest on this storm good morning, kelly. >> good morning, jan good morning to you at home. still dealing with the wind, even today now it is not going to be quite as windy but you're going to notice it, for sure. in fact, some areas still under a wind advisory, and we will talk about that. let me start you out though with a look at some of the wind gusts cents from yesterday. we saw winds gusting over 70 miles per hour at times. and in cape may, new jersey, and washington township, the wind gust reported at 65 miles per hour, in dover around 62 miles per hour, same thing even in northeast philadelphia and then in pennsauken, right around 56 miles per hour was reported so today's still going to be very windy we could see wind gusts to around 45 miles per hour at times down the shore today and then with the winds still in place it will feel even colder than what we see on the thermometer win chill values will be in the 30's, and we will see some sunshine, are at least so

and due to the high wind, speeds reduced to 35 miles per hour on all of the area bridges, as far as mass transit is concerned. most regional rails are suspended so please make sure to check ahead. live from the cbs-3 traffic centerment i'm cheryle golden, jan, back to you. >> thank you. nor'easter tha moving out of the philadelphia region has claimed the life after driver in montgomery county. part of large tree fell ton a car headed northbound on south gulph road in upper merion township yesterday. police got the call right around 7:00 last night. a 57 year old man died at the scene there. an investigation is now underway. >> the deadly storm also reaked havoc on power lines now hundreds cents every thousands of people are waking up in the dark this morning. right now peco has more than 292,000 customers without power, that number sits at 102,000 for ppl. 19,000 for delmarva. 13,000 for atlantic city electric.

22,000 for pse&g. the outages have also prompted the red cross to open an emergency shelter in horsham montgomery county. >> meantime, mother nature seems to be calming down right now after getting down right mean yesterday. the snow, the wind, and the surf was out of control. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, is live in the cbs-3 mobile weather watcher this morning, checking out all of the damage in montgomery county. anita, good morning. >> good morning jan yes conditions yesterday were certainly out of control, a lot of people reported feeling like they were blowing around in those wind gusts and it is those very wind gusts that created a lot of damage in many part of our including here in delaware county. so right now as you mentioned driving around in the cbs-3 mobile water. i turn around the camera, show you what we are looking at on the roads. see waking up this morning the sun is starting to come up you can see that it is just a winter wonderland out here, a lot of snow accumulating on the grassy surfaces cents

we've also seen a lot of snow on parked cars, and as i mentioned, that wind caused a lot of debris to fall in the roadways. see one every these fallen trees here, on mill road. we going toward south bryn mawr avenue here in delaware county. out here also seeing a lot of power outages, here you can see the south bryn mawr avenue and mill road and this traffic light out see cars flying through the intersection, which of course we would not recommend. now, nearly 84,000 customers in delco and more than 104,000 in montgomery count any the dark. you saw the car passing through the right there. this traffic light in this intersection is out. seeing similar stories throughout this area, delaware county really highly affected by these power outages a lot of main stretches of highway completely dark. thankfully now the sun is coming up. so we are driving now and

update you on the conditions on the road. for now live in delaware county. cbs-3 mobile watcher anita oh >> thank you amtrak slowly getting back to normal after yesterday's storm. starting at 6:20 this morning the rail line is resuming modified service between washington and new york. service resumes between new york and boston starting at 8:40. amtrak keystone service is operating on modified service plan and septa is resuming some regional rail service this morning. of course, we have all of those links on our home page. just go over to cbsphilly.com. meantime busses were running yesterday, but a tree fell on top of this septa bus. as it headed west on the schuylkill expressway near the gladwynn exit. there were passengers on board that bus fortunately, no report of injuries. the westbound lanes there wereed for ove that tree wasly away. check your flight status before hea philadelphia international airport warns travelers should expect to see residual flight

>> fire investigators are working to finds out the cause of this fire. north hancock street, while were you sleeping overnight. fire crews arrived there to find flames, and work swiftly to get all every those flames under control. fortunately, no one was hurt. >> philadelphia police say a gunman shot and killed his wife and his mother-in-law. then led police on a chase that ended in gunfire. take a look at this. "eyewitness news," on the 3400 block of chippendale avenue in holmesburg around 7:30 last

night. police say that is where the man shot both women in the head, and then fled the scene. officers later caught up with that suspect and they say he then led them on a pursuit. >> the vehicle continued in this direction, ultimately on welsh rd. and down here to the train station. the vehicle stopped. officers from our highway patrol as well our seventh district attempt topped end game. he then produced a firearm. at t tot discharged their firearms,t ti t he's now list in the critical condition. >> and the manhunt over for the suspect involved in a deadly shooting at central michigan university. nineteen year old student sent accused every killing his parents. someone spotted him on train passing through the north end of campus just after midnight. meg oliver with the latest. >> the police department is responding to a report of shots fired. >> the deadly shooting at central michigan university and mt. pleasant, happened inside a residence hall early

friday morning triggering a campus wide lockdown. a student shot this cell phone video as police surround searched for the suspected gunman identified as 19 year old james eric davis junior. police say the victims are the suspect parent james davis senior and father was a part time police officers. >> james davis touched everybody's life, in a positive manner the people he worked with, along with the resident. >> authorities say davis was involved in another incident on campus thursday, and was transported to the hospital. possibly over bad reaction to drugs. the michigan shooting happened on the last day classes before spring break. the parent were picking up children. meg oliver vbs3 "eyewitness news." >> well, here is something you're going to be seeing a lot today. avenue feeling. falling trees powerful wind from friday's nor'easter knocked a tree over in philadelphia's rid end

rittenhouse square, very big one, too, that's. thankfully no one was injured. >> check this out lehigh valley was hit with more snow than the philadelphia region, and it was no fun driving in northampton county yesterday. the snow on the roads in lower nazareth township turned to slush making conditions very slick there. with the wind, blowing snow in all directions, visibility was extremely low. >> and check this out. even our own katie fehlinger is dealing with damage from this storm. she shared these pictures on twitter. she says the winds broke a tree branch and it fell right through her husband ' car windshield. wow. the car was sitting in their driveway. she also says her neighbor's tree which is two stories tall fell onto their house. good thing they get along. also said they'll break out the chain saw today to see if the tree damaged their home. avenue feeling a whole lot of people will be cleaning up, as well. >> no doubt about that. i mean, with winds that we had yesterday, gusting 60, 70 miles per hour, in some locations cents, that makes sense, that we had the

magnitude of damage that we are now seeing this morning across much of the delaware valley. let me show you a look at some interesting pictures from our weather watchers. we start out with this one from lynn springer, she said cars plastered on one side from the wind. did you find that out when were you going out to clean your car maybe right jan right, only had to clean off one side of your caribous the wind was so strong it was blowing the snow just completely horizontally, so it was only going on one side of your car. i mean, kind of nice to only have to clean off one side but the wind was just a mess, right? other pictures that came in, couple of pictures of damage that came in this one from wayne hunter. show you a look at tree down where he is says limb down in his yard. so a lot of people waking up to dealing with problems like this. a lot of people waking up to quite a bit of snowfall as well. let me take to you live look at the bethlehem camera. you can see looking like a winter wonder land there. still dealing with some wet roads, temperatures right now in the three's there could be some slick spots up there.

keep that in mind. but bethlehem was one of the winners, when it came to snowfall amounts. breaking in over around 5 inches of snow. look at these snowfall totals. the big winner, though, the poconos, where some areas in the poconos saw about 2 feet of wet heavy snow. saw about 6 inches in the media area, hammonton right around 3.2 inches of snow, then in philadelphia, at philadelphia international airport, report of around an inch and a half of snow. man was it a mess when the wind was blowing the snow sideways. i mean, it was cents very hard to see visibility was very poor yesterday afternoon and evening. i was out in this, mobile weather watcher dealing with that just a mess, storm scan3 completely different picture from yesterday. so things are winding down precipitation wise, however still have some hazards at play that we have to deal with wind advisory, one of those until about noontime saturday, for all of coastal counties in

new jersey, also into central and southern delaware, our delaware beaches, we see wind gusts to around 45 miles per hour, up until about the noon hour and then it is still going to be windy thereafter. just slightly less winnie. coastal flood warning in effect until 3:00 sunday for our shore point also the delaware beaches so new more high tide cycles weaver to deal with and get through before this becomes less avianca problem. until then we have the risk for moderate flooding f your roadways typically does flood, you can kind of expect it to do that today. with the situation that we're dealing with. with that potential for coastal flooding higher, unusually high water levels, and also shore waves anywhere from eight to 15 feet. beach errosion, also going to be occurring today as well, so cape may county today gusty winds coastal flooding likely 46 degrees for that high temperature again still dealing with problems with this system even though making

its way off the shore. these are more the indirect effect if you will. 35 degrees right now in the city. feels more like 22 degrees. so when you factor in the wind out of the northwest at 30 miles per hour, 36 degrees in wilmington, 35 millville down the shore temperatures checking in in the 30's. look at the winds speeds. these are sustained winds okay, not even gusts gusts also much hire than this right now. 20 miles per hour in wilmington, 24 in reading right around 25 miles per hour in the poconos. so, with the winds and the chilly temperatures, it is cents going to feel cold throughout the entire day. and i'm forecasting highs in the four's, but will feel like the 30's even into the afternoon, 35 degrees is what it going to feel like around 6:00 this evening. so 43, by noontime, feeling like the 30's, feeling like the 30's this afternoon even though you should be able to get to the high temperature around 47 degrees. here is a look at your seven day forecast, 47 sunday. breezy sunshine, sunny afternoon on monday, that
