and the atmosphere is pretty dry. the humidity is high but will heat up. 30-21 with a south wind at 6 miles per hour. we have 70 in hagerstown is 73. and looking at the satellite picture, we see isolated clouds, thunderstorms in the mountains. that's a feature this morning and won't move rapidly. this is a picture of the clouds ahead of the cool front that's in a system in the plain states. all of that is moving east.

the warmest and humid air is in the front and our rain chances go up, and a slight risk for maryland, and the primarily threat with that is for damaging winds. our forecast, partly developing clouds, mid-80's for highs, and the ocean city forecast should be dry today but overnight rain chances. and on sunday, maybe morning showers and the sky clear, in ocean city. and the rain will be highest tonight, and sunday looks dry, but on the timeline we see more

the morgue. >> so you decided to write about an morgue before you wrote about it? >> i had zero experience, yeah, it was eye-opening. and the gadgets can freak you out a lot bit. >> interesting the way you put it, and that you used auto-biographical. and how you capture a teenager boy, and from your experience, as a reader, do you capture that perspective? >> yeah, it was a lot of fun to get into the kid's head, he's different from me, for the record. but when you feel you got a

grip on another character, it's fun to write in another voice. >> it let's your imagination go. >> yeah, and he was a fun kid. sort of diluted and wants to be a spy. but he was fun to spend time with. >> this is a novel that will shelved in the young adult section, but the l. a. times said that this is a reader that for all. and i started reading it and couldn't put it down. and was that your intention? >> i didn't have a plan per se, i knew i wanted to write a mystery, and i wanted to write a different kind of character in the mystery. so i thought it would be fun to see an 18-year-old go through a mystery story-line.

but i was writing a young adult, novel, i came at it backwards. and young adult novels are sophisticated. you don't have to dumb down the story line at all. so i think that adults are finding that a lot of young adult novels are fun it read. and if mine is considered as one, i am thrilled. >> and john quit his job as an attorney, in d.c., to write this book. you took a chance in the shaky times, and you prevailed. are you going to keep writing or go back to law? >> no immediate plans to go back to law. i am thrilled that it worked out. it may not have been the as a matter -- smartest thing in the world, and not sure how my

>> yeah, he's got another 100 pounds to gain. >> while we try to control max, let's get to some questions. my basset hound has been vomiting a lot, and i wonder about the chemicals we use to fertilize the lawn? >> it could, anything they ingest could cause them to vomit. but there are a lot of other things that could cause the dog to vomit. how old is the basset? does he eat the grass? that could cause him to vomit, but there are so many things that could cause the dog to throw-up. if he's doing this excessively, check with the vet.

>> ok, may or may not be the grass. question two, my yorky continues to eat his own feces, is there any way to break this disgusting habit? >> yeah, i see that in young dogs, sometimes when older they will calm down and stop doing that. you can try things, but the key is just keeping them away from it. if you just need to clean up as best as possible so they don't have the opportunity. take it away from them, and it won't happen. >> break the habit by eliminating the opportunities. he's found your stash. third question, i recently

and annapolis was 73 earlier, their temperature has dropped with some breeze off the water. fredrick 70, the cloud picture shows the isolated thunderstorms in pennsylvania and air is coming into the mountains, low in moisture and that's what is triggering that. and a cold front into the great lakes has triggered stronger storms. this activity will diminish a little today and recharge with the heating of the atmosphere. as this front gets closer, our rain chances increase closer to the bay. and now the high pressure is giving us a beautiful morning. but things will change, and as

the thunderstorm risk rises so does a slight risk for weather. and primary threat would be for damaging wind and that would be west of baltimore. we have winds at 10-15, 83-88 is the temperature range. the instant weather future-cast shows the line of storms, after sunday it will be out of the picture. and monday a hint that something else may produce scatter showers. 86 today, a bit more humid. sunday looks like a dry day. few showers on monday. wednesday warmer and more humid and thunderstorms.

>> how many times have you heard someone say, i am so tired? there could be many reasons why you are fatigued. and getting to the bottom of fatigue is complicated. some reasons why you may be tired, we have dr. hamilton. >> dr. rich says he first has to figure out what they mean by fatigue. >> there is sleepiness, that means they are tired and take a nap and get up. but someone who is fatigued and may have excess sleep but still feel low on energy. >> and there can be many causes, depression, anemia, lyme disease or medications someone takes.

you will feel the same, but you want to rule out the reasons you are fatigued and then the depression. that is serious but a different treatment. >> when someone is saying, i am not getting enough rest. but when you can't shake the tired feeling. >> good way to express it, you go on vacation and still not feel better. >> is it simple? >> it's not simple. >> but treatable? >> there is usually something that is treatable. some things are easier to treat than others. if you are anemic, and treat the cause of anemia, you are better. but depression it's difficult to figure out but it runs the
