six people were inside at the time of the fire but escaped safely. >> they will be offered support and services from the red cross if they have no family members to go with. >> it took roughly half an hour for crews to get the blaze under control. there is no word on what sparked the fire. an investigation is ongoing. no word on what caused a two- alarm fire this afternoon in kingsville just off of belair road. they siphoned water from a nearby said in a pond. a man remains in critical condition following a shooting this morning. police responded to a home around 2:30 this morning. the officers reportedly tried to question two people. that is one said.

do not forget to send i sure photographs. -- send us your photographs. vandals have targeted a proposed construction site for a mosque in tennessee. they were set on fire at the islamic center. the crime is being investigated as a possible hate crime. it is the second time this location has been targeted. in the first incident, as were spray-painted. there is a hotly contested debate about a mosque near ground zero. today, a fire department received a gift for their response during the september 11 note attacks. they were presented a section of steel. there was a parade and a middle school choir who traveled all of the way from georgia. arlington station no. 5 was the first to respond when the pentagon was attacked on 9/11.

if you are traveling this labor day weekend, gas prices continue to decline. aaa says it was reaching $2.68 per gallon. the price per gallon is supposed to stay relatively steady for the holiday weekend. >> hd doppler radar, no rain near us. continue shower and thunderstorm activity in the gulf coast region. tennessee, western kentucky, but nowhere near us. high pressure is overhead, and all of this rain is kind of on the edge, and also, there is a cold front tried to develop. that will be the thing that would change the weather, and the change will be a cool down.

the northeast caribbean islands and will start making a turn to the north. here is what the track is going to be for earl, a category 4 storm. it loses some strength as it gets close to us, and by friday morning, it should be off of cape hatteras, but most models show it stadium off to see. some gusty winds -- most models show it staying off to see. now, we take a look at our forecast as the next seven days are concerned. 96 tuesday, 97 wednesday, 93 thursday. hot, humid weather, especially for the humidity. we have this front trying to come in, and we have earl, so that may kick off a thundershower, and the cooler temperatures for the weekend.
