big league is what you can do and what you can't do. maicer izturis is not trying to hit homeruns or he would hit flyballs. you hit line drive after line drive. you get the ball up, he's going to get a base hit and he's going to put a good swing on it. >> gary: now, mike napoli will stand in with a runner on at first base. napoli already singled and scored a run in this ballgame. he is 1-for-2. napoli 3-for-9 against the orioles on the season and the angels threatenning to get this ballgame tied up or better as they now have 9 hits. each team with 9 hits in this ballgame. >> jim: angels are 22-4 when they hit a homerun. so they come in. in homeruns, they are 12th in the american league. that's out of 14 teams. orioles are 10th. this a homerun guy.

throughout as the orioles got their runs early in the ballgame in the 3rd inning, 3 runs, 4 hits, and they added another in the 5th inning, roberts, jones, markakisrbis. both teams have played it close to the vest in holding runners, trying to make sure they get that double play possibility. there has been that runner at first base. >> gary: the orioles 10-9 in one-run game and that's just a part of it. can you hold runners? can you get your catcher a ball that he can make a good throw on? 0-2 delivery, trying to get him to chase and he would not do it. it goes to 1-2. yankees beat toronto today 6-5 in 12 innings. matsui, jorge posada, johnny damon all had homeruns in that ballgame. yankees have been playing some

games for a long, long time on the road. >> let's see what the bullpen for the orioles can do. beaz has been one of the -- not surprised but really the effective pitchers and getting more so as the season has gone along. so the orioles hope that, as you see the is pitched and hit, they have good differential there. you want that he has not walked a lot of batters, especially of late. so baez will come out of the bullpen. albers worked a couple of innings, did a good job, department walk anybody, had a couple of strikeouts. now the third pitch tore be used by the orioles, danys baez. he will have to face the top of the order as figgins reached on a fielder's choice and scored in the 5th. he has lined out and struck out. baez's deliver to him,
