city's kensington section, two firefighters were injured and walls came crashing down. >> new this morning, alleged off field attack sends a high school football to the hospital. >> i wait for iphone 6. apple friendsy has hit the philadelphia region. >> good morning, friday, september 19. let's go over to meteorologist david murphy and find out about today and your weekend and karen rogers has her eyes on the roads. >> reporter: good morning guys we are off to a clear start across the region. not a lot of cloud cover forming locally, but we'll see more as the day goes on. 59 degrees in philadelphia. 51 in allentown. 53 in reading. 55 in wilmington, 53 in trenton, 60 in sea isle city. some spots are cooler than yesterday. as we head out the door to catch the bus, 56 by 6:00. and 58 degrees by 8:00 a.m. your bulls riding requires sweatshirt or jacket.

69 degrees by 9:00 a.m., and -- 60 degrees by 9:00 a.m., 66 degrees at lunchtime. 70 by 3:00 p.m., 68 by 6:00 p.m. karen one of issues on the roads. >> reporter: that's right, we have warehouse fire, crews are centered around north american street and west york street. you want to avoid the area altogether. we're talking about a number of closures including second, third, dauphin and cumberland. you want to watch for the closures in and around the area, phillips street although under control, as katherine scott has been reporting we'll see crude on the scene that could be there a while. stick to 5th front or lehigh as the alternates. north american street near west york street. franconia township we have an accident here, cherry lane near mif lynn street watch for that.

conshohocken past the blue route we had a disabled truck, it's been cleared. the traffic is moving fine. good shot of the road conditions, you're clear and dry, no issues here, the big number of closures is in kensington, matt an tam. >> let's get back to that, a massive fire ravaged a building in kensington, walls collapsed and two firefighters were hurt. katherine scott is live where smoke continues to rise. >> reporter: one man was taken to the hospital with serious burns. he is at temple university hospital. two firefighters were taken to the hospital in stable condition. there's a lot of work going onty onty -- at this scene in kensington. you can see the flames that were shooting high in the sky. those flames started around 2:30

or not 2400 block of american street. when the first company arrived they were met with heavy fire. the blaze started in a vacant commercial building. that building collapsed which exposed the airplane storage facility -- the paper storage facility next store. that fueled the fire. the flames were fierce, the fire went to four-alarms, 120 firefighters on the scene. firefighters believe the injured man was in the first vacant building. >> we believe that the civilian injury the person was coming out of the vacant building. the person was on fire when they came out. we treated him and transported him to temple hospital. >> and back here live, you can see there's a lot of damage we can still see flames and firefighters are shooting water at this site from all different

angles. firefighters once they got enough resources on the scene they could contain the fire. it was placed under control at 4:12. there's a business on the store, a 5 story furniture company that has some damage. the bulk of the damage was in the vacant building. the two story paper company. the fire marshal is on scene trying to determine the cause of the fire. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." >> new this morning, philadelphia police are investigating an assault on a high school football player. chopper 6hd was over head as the athlete was taken to hanheman hospital for treatment yesterday afternoon. police picked up the teenage girl for questioning. both the female and alleged victim ended up at central detectives. the action cam was there as the player was released last night. his family has no comment. officers are looking into reports that the girl led an ambush on the player after practice. the search for an accused

cop killer has intensified. that suspect, eric frein is on the fbi's most wanted list. it is thought he went to an area in the poconos and block aids went up. >> we've been staying inside we have our guns loaded and doors locked and the dogs are staying in the house now at night. >> frien is accused of killing bryon dickson and wounding a trooper last week. troopers attended dickson's funeral yesterday. >> a man who was captured in florida has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend in delaware county. he was charged with the killing ever since her body was found strangled. he was found in florida driving

assaults on campus. it will focus on men. they will ask students to step in bye-bye standard intervention or social media. experts say those two actions are the keys to preventing assaults. residents packed philadelphia church to call for local stores to stop selling bb guns to children. many of the bb guns look like real guns. >> the guns that they are selling look exactly like the real guns that are being used. >> reporter: "action news" showed a video where children were purchasing bb guns at a store that went viral. that store stopped selling the guns after the story aired. but other stores selling the guns to children. residents called for tougher penalties during the meeting.

building in kensington. it was placed under control an hour ago, but firefighters are training their hoses on the structure. two people were injured including firefighters. >> reporter: it's having implications with bus routes 39 and 57 they are detouring because of the kensington fire. regional rails looking good. media elwin line shuttle busing, they are doing track and power improvements. if you're heading up north, one northbound at the black horse lane up in monmouth county, dave. >> reporter: we have temperatures in the 50s in most neighborhoods, karen, so it's jackets on the kids in the morning, but t-shirts work for a little while after school. we'll be up over 70. 60 degrees by 9:00 a.m. in the 60s by noon. we won't hit 70 until 3:00 p.m. the high will be 71 by 3:30.
