ebola case in texas has widened. katherine scott is live in the satellite center to fill us in. >> reporter: officials are trying to determine how many people to himself dunkin may have infected. there's a spider web of people who came in contact with dunkin, and others who came in contact with the core group of people, nobody has shown any symptoms. >> reporter: joe weeks is the uncle of to himself eric dunkin the first person diagnosed with ebola on u.s. soil. his rent e relatives who hosted him are under armed guard after trying to violate the quarantine . weeks said his uncle flew in for a family graduation and began showing symptoms in the

apartment complex in dallas. weeks called the center for disease control after the dallas emergency room nurse sent him home despite showing symptoms and that he had traveled from west africa. warnings are going out by phone to more than 11,000 residents. >> while this may be concerning there is no on going danger to your health. >> reporter: notifications are going out to united airline passengers who were on flights with dunkins telling them how to contact federal health officials, they are adding that the cdc believes the man could not have spread the disease because he was not showing symptoms and not yet contagious. a camera man for nbc has tested positive for the virus and flown home for treatment in the united states. a lot of people are happening if someone flies into philadelphia

covering the ebola pandemic for nbc news has tested positive for the virus. thomas eric dunkin remains in isolation at texas health presbyterian hospital. the first person ever diagnosed with ebola on u.s. soil. his relatives who hosted him are confined to their apartment under armed guard after trying to violate the quarantine imposed on them. he began showing symptoms, and went to the emergency room and was sent home, a nurse never passed along the information he was traveling from liberia. detectives are trying to determine how many people he may have infected while contagious. the centers for disease control is tracking a growing circle of 100 people who could be at risk. meanwhile, the liberian community in philadelphia continues to feel the effects of the ebola scare. they are trying to keep updated
