i yield to mr. clyburn. representative clyburn: thank you, mr. leader. thank you, madam chairman. mr. chairman, thank you for the tremendous work you have given to this effort, as we just heard, over 70% of the american people are in favor of this plan. earlier this week, 170 ceos had written a letter to the congress, asking that we test this plan. the vast majority, 56% of small businesses, have asked us to please pass this plan. the american rescue plan builds a foundation for coordinated public-private partnerships, and a compassionate response to the needs of families and communities, for us to get beyond this pandemic. i feel certain we are going to pass this will tonight in a solid way, and i hope that the senate will also respond to this with a solid response so that the american people can begin to feel better about themselves and their futures. i think i yield back to you, madam speaker. [laughter] i will gladly entertain your questions, and the speaker will answer them. [laughter] speaker pelosi: thank you, mr. clyburn. i think the distinguished whip and distinguished ma
