over 20,000 solano residents have signed the petition. that's the ceo of california forever announcing this morning that his company has secured more than enough signatures to qualify for the november ballot. the solano county registrar is now in the process of verifying all of those signatures. california forever has said that it wants to build a green community in east solano county. group claims it would include thousands of homes, walkable neighborhoods, shopping, dining and open space. but many local and federal leaders don't like the plan. i think the reality is there's a there's a small but vocal group of opponents who really dislike the project, but the more people in the county learn about it and the more they look at the facts, instead of all of this misinformation that's being put out there, the more people are beginning to say, why is anyone against this? they have said that they will pay their fair share. well, now, who's going to pay the remaining share? it will be the taxpayers of solano county of california. and sure, as w

so we are going to start to see those wind advisories going up for solano county. and then we're also going to have some warmer temperatures. our valleys headed for the 70s and 80s for the weekend. it's going to change again with cooler and breezy weather. you can see that at the bottom of the screen with our 7-day forecast already up. so we're going to see a high of 71 in dublin, about the same in fremont. we're up to 77 in fairfield today. santa rosa 75. also 75 for morgan hill and san martin going into the day tomorrow, it is just a touch warmer with some upper 70s and low 80s feeling more like the end of spring, and we'll see that continue on as well as we go closer to the end of the week. so we're seeing high pressure building warmer temperatures, but eventually we'll start to see the impact of a cold front and the possibility of some rain on saturday. it's probably not the best day to get a chance of showers, especially with it being so spotty, but we are going to be watching out for that in the cooler. temperatures continue through the beginning of next week

so if you're out around solano napa county, solano contra costa santa clara later today, i think that's your best opportunity. a couple of 30s in here, vallejo and one in oakland, a lot of low 40s here. some cloud cover. snow continues up in the mountains. that'll continue for the day as that low moves, you can see the moisture wrapping back around that will no doubt favor the sierra. look at all the activity offshore, though it would not take much for one of those. all it would take is for one of those to swing in and, you know, put us, you know, ten, 15 minute shower with some hail. so that's kind of a broad brush forecast. but the low kicks out and you can see now watch fairfield livermore. see those are the higher amounts being forecast by this model with lesser amounts to none over by the coast. i'll buy that. that makes sense in this kind of a pattern here. you'll get better buildups in the afternoon. so inland i think is a better opportunity to see more activity today. but after that, high pressure is building in and a return to spring is on the way. one one item of interest will
