Forum: television Subject: PSA Early 1970's: Anti-war

Does anyone remember this PSA from the early 1970's? -- a group of old men walk up a hill; two of them take off their jackets while the others watch, and start pathetically punching each other. The voice over (or text): Wouldn't it be great if all wars were fought by the people who started them? Thanks --

I’ve been looking for this one as well. I remember thinking how profound the concept was. I was a teenager. Was this from the early 70’s?

Following up: I got so obsessed with finding this, I emailed the Museum of the Moving Image, The Library of Congress Moving Image Resource Center, and most recently, the Peace Collection at Swarthmore. No one at those institutions knew of it, although I did learn about the Unsell the War campaign, which produced several antiwar spots at the same time -- one or two of which I faintly recall. Several of those are digitized and online:
