In Waasmunster hebben gisteren zo'n 430 lopers deelgenomen aan de dertiende editie van de 10 Miles, en dat in een loden hitte. Niet vanzelfsprekend, op een parcours met ook wel wat hoogtemeters. De organisatie zette dan ook alles op alles om voor voldoende water en afkoeling te zorgen. En ondanks de warme temperaturen, slaagden er toch zes deelnemers in om de loopwedstrijd, van zestien kilometer, af te leggen in minder dan een uur.

Elk jaar opnieuw is het uitkijken naar de creaties van de grootste gemeentelijke academie van Vlaanderen, maar dit jaar wordt corona echt doorgespoeld met een totaalbeleving. TV Limburg kon al eens gaan kijken naar de opbouw.
