now, this all began about 7.50, a pacific time when the faa approved a request from alaska airlines to ground all of its flight. also, flights also horizon air flights as well. and this is because alaska says they were having some computer problems. some glitches with some new software. there were installing that manages the weight and balance on their aircraft. so they requested a ground stoppage and all the planes were kept on the ground for about 40 minutes. there were some people on social media asking why they were being kept out on there flight on the runway not being allowed disembark from their plane, but around 8.30, this the faa lifted that ground stoppage and the airline says things are getting back to normal inside sfo here. currently, there are no delays or any problems that we can see. but whenever something like this happens, it can cause a real trickle down effect. so if you're flying of this afternoon, especially if you're on alaska or horizon, probably a good idea to check ahead with your airline. make sure everything going smoothly that your flight is leaving on time
