it's not just southern california but utah and nevada, also saw these winds. it was pretty devastating in a lot of places. >> this is really the worst santa ana event they've had in years and, unfortunately, we're not over and done with this thing just yet. it's starting to wane. wind gusts are down today but still talking 30 to 50-mile-per-hour wind gusts. that can continue to cause damage. we're still concerned about trees coming down, additional power outages, and then you can see where we're expecting the big problems. it does include los angeles and the san bernadino mountains as the offshore winds continue to push through the region. now, we also have a high threat of fire danger there but a number of fires that developed over the last couple days all of which thankfully have been put out very quickly but this threat will stay high through the weekend and then a second event we think is going to be developing late monday and into tuesday, which probably won't be quite as strong as wednesday's event but the strongest winds that we've seen since that time.
