prosecutor, and former deputy chief of the seventh district of new york's criminal decision, now she is an msnbc legal analyst and george conway, contributing writer at the atlantic. he posted the $175 million bond in the fraud case, a couple of days to spare. this is the reduced amount. supposedly he couldn't post the 464, but now he's got it. what's your reaction? >> it's good. that's a good thing. i think a lot of people reacted negatively to the reaction of the bond, but i think that's based on the misapprehension of what an appellate bond is. the purpose of an appellate bond is to protect the judgment holder, the person who won the judgment in the court below. if there had been no bond because it was simply too large to post, the state of new york would have had no protection and would have had to go out and these assets, which is something that really is a very, very difficult task and a very costly task. the taxpayers of the state of new york should be glad that the court reduced the bond, enabling the court -- enabling trump to be able to post the bond and once the appeal is over and the
