and we're seeing just a ton of snow again coming down across the sierra nevada. here's a look at i-80 at castle peak. of course close. you see some of the signs now starting to be buried in all that snow. it is really been coming down. and of course, some very gusty winds to go along with that some white out conditions across the sierra nevada. here's the very latest on the doppler radar. you can see the snow level really way down, probably going to be down about 1000 maybe 1500 feet overnight tonight. yeah, it is cold out there, too. so would be a long drive regardless trying to get up there. something to watch out for. we've had all these storms this season and now we've got another round of some very air moving in got avalanche warnings in effect until wednesday morning. looks like we are finally going to catch a break in all the stormy weather and what you know, what not a race to get up there. this that the snow is going to be around for a while. let's we get a major heat wave. we're talking to people keeping those resorts open, at least through may, maybe e

heavy snow in the sierra nevada. numerous lightning strikes. most of those in the central valley today. but there's a chance we could see some more thunderstorms are rumbling on here. and here just over the last few hours, you see the scattered showers rolling through the bay area. so kind of an active evening again after a very stormy morning. that's when the main cold front came through early on today. some heavier rainfall, even the threat of some flooding early on in parts of the south bay. but now you're looking a lot of scattered showers around the bay area. some heavier downpours along the peninsula right now near half moon bay. you've got a cell that's moving through. that is a pretty significant storm that is rolling on through likely a thunderstorm to watch out palo alto. that is coming your way here in the next few minutes. but scattered showers around the bay area will continue on and off into the evening hours. the good news is there is an end in sight, at least a brief break anyway. but we're adding to some pretty impressive total
