this morning pro palestinian protesters blocked parts of 880 both directions in oakland. then another group blocked the southbound lanes of the golden gate bridge leading the chp to shut it down both directions at the height of rush hour. in total about 40 people were arrested. we start in oakland with two separate protests on i-880 that dragged into the afternoon. about 300 protesters blocked the southbound lanes at seventh street. chp eventually was able to back them onto the freeway off ramps and then they reopened all the lanes by 1:00. five protesters were arrested in that location. earlier on i-880 north about seven protesters hung a banner that read free palestine. they used concrete barrels to make it harder to remove them. >> officers had to contend with eight 55-gallon drums filled with cement, rebar, and heavy duty chains attaching protesters to the drums. >> it took a while for chp to get them free from those barrels. this is video of them getting the last protester out and handcuffing them. because of those particular tactics, chp says protesters are facing e

temperatures around the bay, upper 60s and low to mid-70s, upper 60s in san francisco, 70 degrees in oakland with temperatures in the north bay low to mid-70s. if we see fog, you'll be a spot that hangs on a little bit longer. as temperatures warm up, the pollen count will head upwards into the medium high category tomorrow, the worst day for seasonal allergies wednesday with the pollen count maxed out into the high category. it's oak, mulberry and all sorts of grass pollen in the atmosphere. the warm weather sticks around a few days. let's look at the seven-day forecast. we'll start inland where temperatures will be at their warmest for the next three days, upper 70s and low 80s on the map and even once we cool down by friday, saturday, and sunday we're still talking about temperatures in the mid- to upper 70s, not bad for the middle of april. the warm-up won't last as long and won't be as significant closer to the water around the bay, temperatures a few degrees above normal the next few days, then back to mid-and upper 60s friday, saturday, sunday. i don't think anybody will complain with
